Spurs three unsung heroes

Sissoko, Aurier and Foyth. All three considered squad players, but they were absolutely fantastic. Surely there can be no way back for Trippier today after the way Aurier performed. He is so much stronger, yes he makes the odd ricket, but his overall allround performance is 100 per cent up on the hapless Trippier. Foyth again was brilliant at the back, in such a high profile game, he looked immense. And what can you say about Sissoko, he absolutely bossed the middle of the park, was all over the pitch, tackling, running with the ball. What a player we finally have.

You don`t always need £100 million players, every great team has a few bread and butter players, that just put in shifts every time they step out onto the pitch. 10/10 for all three.

Even Hugo cut out the silly kicks today.

He just needs to be a bit more cute in those situations, which he’ll hopefully realise quite quickly.

Agreed I was just pointing out that ONE clumsy challenge does not equal a clumsy half

Sissoko honestly looks like a completely different player. He’s spraying the ball around and the composure he lacked previously is non existent at the moment. He honestly looks like the complete bid to box midfielder in the last 5 games. Outstanding transformation and so glad I’m eating humble pie right now. Aurier was brilliant to, so strong on the ball. Foyth what a talent we got.

Summed it up great Don. It is brilliant that our squad players are showing they are up for the job.

I’m not surprised Sissoko is performing well now he’s being given a chance in central midfield, he was completely wasted out wide, he’s always been a central midfielder but managers kept shoving him in other positions.

interesting. I tend to agree, but think more importantly he's getting consistent football. I think he is one of those players that needs regular football. cameo appearances and the odd start had him looking awful.

Noticeable improvement in Aurier I thought, he has also stopped going to ground with rash sliding tackles, which is probably a consequence of Poch's coaching.
