Fans' Protest

Here are what I hope to see happen over the next 24 hours.

- Mourinho resigns
- or Mourinho gets sacked
- or Ed Woodward steps down
- or the board gets sacked

And if none of these happens , then the fans have to step up and take back our club. We need to react now. Booing at the end of matches just isn't good enough.
A loud , well-planned protest on tuesday night will certainly capture the attention of the stupid clowns running our club - since obviously the bad results have not mattered to them
The fans have to show our anger and frustration towards the manager and his horrible style of football and embarassing results.
If Liverpool could get rid of king kenny unceremoniously and even Arsenal got sick and tired of Wenger , then why do United fans continue to accept Mourinho who has reduced our club to mid-table play-not-to-lose mediocrity?
It's not as though he has any special attachment to the club anyways.
And if he does leave , let's all hope he can take his lovechild Matic with him Lukaku and Pogba can follow him out too.

So I'm watching the next 24 hours and hoping to hear at least one of the hopeful propositions outlined above ... If not then tuesday night at Old Trafford has to be a defining moment of this already-lost season.

If the sponsors start reducing their offers significantly or walking away... well that’s another story.
-----------
I read last week the clubs value dropped 300million? how true was that? surely that should make them squirm a bit

Not sure mate. If true it lends weight to the Saudi rumours.

At this point I think a takeover is the only way we see an end to Woodward.

An end to Woodward, yes. And he shouldn't go because the money he is making the club commercially is incredible and he's absolutely brilliant in that department. But once we start to fall down the table, once the fans become very angry with the style of play and once the CL gold mine begins to disappear, they will worry on the footballing side of things. And a DOF will be brought in, sooner rather than later. I'd guess by July at the absolute latest

Woodward will probably (hopefully) be moved sideways and allowed to continue his great work in the area he dies great work

Fan protests won't impact the Glazers at all... They had them when buying the club, during the green and gold campaign etc... The protests largely disappeared with an upturn of form on the pitch. They'll just believe (probably rightly) that fans are easily placated, spend more money and hope for a short term hit.

As lambeau said... Ticket money is already in, if people stay away its only beer tokens and merch they lose out on.

Best we can hope for is they bin jose and get lucky with the latest replacement

We're going to end up fookin craving a Saudi takeover ffs

None of those things in the OP will fix the primary and fundamental issue with the club.

What is the one common denominator with the appointments of Ed as CEO, Moyes, LVG and Mourinho?

Why do you think the strategic direction and short-termism at the club are going to change, or that executive decision making is going to improve with a new CEO or manager?

Ed gets his steer from the Glazers. If they were concerned primarily about footballing success, we’d have a long-term football strategy and a different sports management structure. When Jose goes, or Ed is replaced (not sure why the Glazers would even consider that given the club’s current financial position), we’ll continue to see more of the same.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I take issue with this kind of logic.

Footballing success and financial success go hand in hand. Another half-decade of mediocrity, bad press and supporter unrest is not good for business. And short-termism is not bringing us any kind of success on the field. After 5 years of this nonsense I dont believe those running the club can still be stupid enough to think it will.

If we carry on with this approach, then make no mistake the other teams the big 6 will leave us behind and the absence of CL footy will become a regular occurrence. That will hurt us financially.

Quite simply, a bit of strategy and long-term planning is in everyone's interest, including our owners'. I really don't see how what has happened over the last 5 years has benefited anyone.

100% bloodred. It's why I think the DOF is inevitable at this stage. And I'm not the biggest fan of that way of doing things but a guy who knows his football, working in conjunction with the manager is surely better than just falling into obscurity and just going for the next big name

......................

Jose has made Rosso lose any kind of logic what so ever.

Yesterday he was advocating Groot playing in midfield to protect Lindleof from Benteke.

I really can not deal with this kind of idiocy. And it is so unlike Rosso. I had to check to see if Dunc had hijacked his account just to wum me.

Benteke obviously didn’t play. If he’d have been in there, he’d have been sat on Lindelof all game and Palace would have been hitting balls over the top to him on the counter and diagonals from deep to try to get Zaha and Meyer on the end of knockdowns.

As it happens, I also said that Palace might start with Zaha and Townsend, and if they did, would hit us on the counter with balls into those players behind our fullbacks (to drag our centrebacks out of position and create one on ones or overloading situations through the middle). Which is exactly what happened.

And you don’t have to deal with that kind of “idiocy” if you don’t want VC. You could just ignore me if you like.

OK, ignore the logic then and consider the empirical evidence in isolation.

What has changed over the last five-and-a-half years in terms of executive and/or sporting strategy?
