Hamilton 0 v 3 Celtic

A good start to an important 8 days on Saturday.

Hamilton is always a bit of a banana skin due to the surface but as I stated last week, the freezing temperatures actually helped us as the surface was very slick and allowed us to move the ball very well.

I’m going to start by talking about that penalty incident, how on earth the referee can see that and not give it is absolutely inexplicable. Thankfully we didn’t need it but it’s another in the long list of atrocious refereeing decisions over the course of this season.

To be honest, after 5 minutes I was quite relaxed about the game, we were at it from the start and what a boost it is to get Ntcham back. Everything good we did on Saturday came through him, Christie and Eddy, they all linked up well and Ntcham’s through ball for Sinclair to miss another sitter was sublime.

After the first goal it was plain sailing and that’s another domestic clean sheet, we’ve conceded 3 goals in our last 9 games, terrific stats.

Good to see Griffith’s back in the squad, took his goal well and he looks a helluva lot leaner. Apparently he’s lost 8 kilos in weight, ridiculous that he even had that at this stage of the season but if it makes him realise from now on he needs to be at it all the time then so be it.

I expect Rogic and Brown to come back into the squad this week but I don’t think Brown should play on Thursday, I’d have him on the bench for Sunday, unless of course we fancy moving McGregor out wide into Sinclair’s position.

Finally the bench will look a lot better in the upcoming games, Izzy being back fit is also a bonus. He just slots in seamlessly whenever needed.

Big game on Thursday now but 3 points and we have a terrific chance of qualifying.

Rosenberg will rest big players for their cup final on Sunday but it is us away in Europe think we have enough firepower Villarreal finally won a league game last night against Betis.....would not hazard a guess at their match tbh....could see it going any way!

Yeah Rosenberg having a cup final on Sunday may also help us.

Bentdner is out and i suspect they will rest 2 or 3 of their players.

Aye the Glenalbyn was usually just somewhere to meet before getting the supporters bus down, not much to it other than ours always full of Celtic fans.

Platform 8/the exchange is definitely the only decent bar for watching football in nowadays really, has TV's everywhere so you've always got a view of the game.
