Projected points, goals etc.

I was just reading an article on the BBC site that compares Jose goals to games ratio to that of our recent managers:

Jose - 1.60
LVG - 1.46
Moyes - 1.65
SAF - 2.01

That in itself is pretty damning. Doing worse than Moyes, who only had 1 season in the job, when Jose is now well into his 3rd season is terrible really.

I then went and had a look at the league table and it really does make pitiful reading. If we are to continue on our current form this season, we would finish the season with 61 points, having scored 58 goals and with a goal difference of -3.

Just to put that into context, last season Swansea and West Brom scored 56 goals and Stoke scored 68 goals and all 3 teams got relegated. That is just embarrassing for a manager that has spent so much money and a team that has such attacking traditions. I really cant see us finishing in the top 4 - not a chance. I think that realistically we are looking at 6-8th if Jose remains in charge.

When you throw in the number of players stalling over signing a new deal, we need to get Jose out of the door ASAP and start building for next season, giving the incoming manager time to assess the squad and decide what he needs. Someone like Zidane would give the whole club a lift and signal our ambitions moving forwards. His arrival would likely make it easier to negotiate new deals with that players stalling over new contracts, as I expect many would want to experience playing under such a legend.

I fully expect that Ed will drag his heels over the decision and wait until top 4 has gone, but he really should be acting now to give the new manager the best chance of succeeding. Who knows, his arrival might improve our form this season and give us a chance at top 4 and it might even mean that he can make a start bringing in who he wants in January? Time to act Ed.

The real question here is: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT!!!

All this whinging aint gone do jack. It's not like the powers that be are members of ja606.

We need to send a strong message to Jose's employers like real men. Enough is enough.

Madrid I don't think its as glamorous to some as it once was. They put too much pressure and give their managers no time at all. Poch doesn't appear to be the sort of manager to be pressured like that. At least at United our board have proven over the last 4 years we have given managers chances. Jose and lvg would have been sacked long ago at many other clubs

I reckon Poch would love the Madrid job, but I also consider him a very smart bloke who won't take it unless he feels the time and setup are right.

On Jardim, even though it all went t*ts up this season, Monaco achieved remarkable success under him, albeit with a very good side. He also showed a lot of tactical versatility over his time there, and a great hand both at bringing youngsters through and at getting the team to perform beyond the mere sum of its parts.

How he'd adapt to the PL is a complete mystery, of course.

The more concerning one is bayern munich for me. They will be in for a new manager soon

Mourinho.

The problem for Mou is that the longer the current situation drags out and the longer he appears incapable of steering the team back in the right direction, the less attractive a proposal he will appear to other clubs.

He'll clearly always have his suitors, but it's going to become increasingly less likely for those suitors to be one of the tip-top clubs.

No way Bayern will appoint Jose. They are better run than that. They had the same issues with LVG as we did.
