I have a conspiracy theory that Jose has been in this position before. He knows when the players have turned against him and he knows that he's pretty much a dead man walking.
I have a theory that Madrid have been flirting with him and he would very much welcome a return. His comments, team selections and his subs have been suspect.
I think it's now a tug of war between him and woodward over who pulls the plug.
Jose fans will regret being so loyal to him... As soon as he leaves he will be the first one to throw this club under the bus (pun intended).
Self Sabotage?

I think he would do well to take a job at a smaller club, working with players not mega-stars, where the expectation is to improve but not to win every trophy.
................
I am not sure he can even do this. Jose just hasn't adapted to the changing game.

Could he do a better job at Saints than HUghes?
He used to be a manager the players loved, would run through walls for him kinda stuff.
Now he just seems to p|ss them all off? Has he changed (he certainly seems to ball out his players publically more often) or have players become a nightmare to manage and not respond to his demanding & stronger leadership style.

Hard to say, I wouldn't want to bet on it.

'Used' is the operative word here.

This is definitely true. Player definitely used to be more respectful and professional 10+ years ago.

Please tell me more on your knowledge of pro footballers when you were 11?

Mourinho said it himself. COmpare the maturity of Frank Lampard and John Terry at 25/26 to Pogba and Lingard currently. Says it all.

He probably read it in the same mythical book that told him Chelsea were third favorites in 05/06
