Sol Campbell, the man who describes himself as one the greatest minds in football.
I fear for him

Certainly has a high opinion of himself.
Will reserve judgement till he's had a good crack, so to speak.
Paul Ince took over at Macc about 10 years ago in similar circumstances and did ok there if I remember correctly.
He also had a high opinion of himself and jumped ship too early, and again in his next job, too eager to run before he could walk.

He will probably do really well, be well loved by the fans, but win nothing. Then he will go to a bigger and better club and win loads of trophies.

"Macclesfield fans will probably say 'what's going on here?'" he said when asked if his appointment was a gamble.
"You've got an international footballer who has been one of the best footballers in the world coming to your club, I think there's a nice mutual balance there."
