I can't believe some fans. Martial just scored 5 in a row not so long ago, Rashford has already proven he is much better than what we have seen this season.

Today Rashford was a threat, his running into space was amazing and he was forward thinking. His finishing let him down, under LVG it didn't. You can tell the pressure is getting to him because he's in a toxic environment created by the manager.

I'd never give up on either player, Rashford could be great and Martial could be world class. The fans are now contributing to the managers successful campaign to make our players feel like schit, so I guess it's likely neither player will reach their potential unless they move.

Neither are $hit, but both need an attacking manager that can coach them.

Martial needs to simply run more - on and off the ball - as well as be more purposeful and precise with his passing.

Rashford needs to improve his end product. His finishing under Louis van Gaal was much, much more instinctive and composed. He looks like he's carrying a hefty weight on his shoulders every time he has a chance for us at the moment. For England he looks much more expressive and relaxed but he's still lost some confidence in front of goal. Also needs to do better with his back to goal.

If someone can get those two players working on the above, we'll have two excellent players for a while to come. Mourinho isn't that man though.

Agree entirely with this. They are both very good/promising players. They just need to be coached properly and to play in a system that makes best use of their attributes. All the raw materials are there.

Rashford is the new Welbeck.

Rashford has been ruined by Jose. While he is here, Rashford will continue to flounder.

LVG got more out of Rashford and Martial than Jose. That's a telling sign.

First season he was an unknown entity, last season he was absolutely chit apart from Liverpool, just like this season.

He is clearly short on confidence but looks like a fish out of water in front of goal. I really struggle to see what fans love and crave about him other than he’s a local kid

At 28 Welbeck has 70 career goals. Rashford has just turned 21 and has 39.
