The squad is really stepping up. Sissoko has stunned me. Like a new signing. However we do have 2 players that seem to be surplus to requirements in the midfield. Wanyama and Dembele might need to leave and we would definitely require another midfielder.
To challenge for the title and silverware in 2019 what should we focus on?
Back up striker for Kane? He’s had 2 tough games this week and he will no doubt be starting against Arsenal. Need someone who can give him a break even if its for 10-15 mins at the end of each game.
Speedy left back? Davies needs and fast and powerful option. The Inter Milan left back looked impressive to me.
Classy Centre Mid? Ironically Brozovic playing against us yesterday would have been one of my choices. IF we sell Dembele and/or Wanyama in January we definitely need a new CM. Ndombele has been mentioned. The likes of the people we are linked with I think Poch is looking for a mobile all action midfielder more than an elegant passer of the ball. I would like us to buy both.

We play 2 games a week. I believe as long as you can guarantee a second striker one game a week plus a 15 min cameo for Kane's starting matches there should be a few available to sign.
Our second striker would play just as much football as Callum Wilson, Vardy, Mitrovic etc. So this idea that they wouldn't play much football doesnt quite make sense. The key is Poch buying a player that he trusts to lead the line in Kane's absence.
For some reason he's lost faith in llorente. I think he didn't realise how slow llorente was until he got him to the training ground and the high press cannot work with him in the team.

That's the sales story. in truth Kane probably won't come off with 15 mins to go.
plus there might be periods in the season where Kane should play less than the second striker. especially if we want to save him from injuries a s fatigue.

Wilson starts every league game, so how can our backup striker play as much as that? A club can only possibly play about 66 games per season for club all comps.
You make a good point though, we do need to position it better to potential recruits.
