Everyone knows I'm not fan of Jose but I heard an interesting conversation with regards to his publuc chastisement of young players
Now most have written or responded on here to how his treatment of Shaw, martial lingard and rashford is bad, but this conversation was saying only Jose has the cajones to speak out with what is destroying football. Basically youngsters getting too much too soon and not having to work hard etc
Truth is likes of martial and rashford would probably get torn a new one by likes of Keane et al for some of their shenanigans, so maybe Jose is right?
Just on another note I know a lass who works in Manchester for a hotel, and likes of Valencia and martial use the place. She says martial is a pvvick and Tony has his translator go into the sauna room in case he gets a call in English
Seeing how proud ch learn English in about and hour and half (yes I exaggerate) how can someone like tony not be proficient by now?
Is Jose right?

A lot of people on here think that you either have it or you don't at the age of 21 and that coaching and training to improve players doesn't exist.
-----------------
Bizarre isn't it? Now I am not suggesting that Rashford will ever be as good as Ronaldo, but a lot of the things that are said about him are the same things that were said about Ronaldo during his first few seasons at United.
Running into blind alleys, lack of composure, bad decision making, no end product. Most attacking players in their late teens/early 20s fall into that category. When you consider the managers that he has played under and how few goals we score as a team, Rashford has done very well so far. Had he have been playing under SAF like Ronaldo was and in that team, I am sure that he would have a lot more goals. The way we played during that period would have suited him down to the ground.

Lol are we doing the "he is shiiite in his first season so will be as good as Ronaldo" thing?
While we are at it let's do the "It took Fergie 4 years to win anything so a new manager will be as successful as Fergie is they fail in their first 4 years, give him time" thing
When De Ge leaves and we get a new foreign keeper we shall go with "De Gea was dodgy in his first season etc." bla bla bla and other stuff

Jose is spot on as was Keano before him.
Where they were both wrong was the way they went about it.
Behind closed doors is where this kind of stuff stays.

No offence but are we talking about Roy Keane, collosal failure as a manager and the caricature of a "hard man" that has been laughed at incessantly for his sillyness with the irish team?
THe world has moved on from suck foolishness, just as much as it has moved on from Jose. Both Roy and Jose will soon be unemployed. They can go and be hard elsewhere.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Irish team thing was down to Keane perceiving it as a farce and total lack of preparation- which he may well have a point on. Still, him running out on them is hardly something we can hold as a good example.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm... You clearly are unaware of his antics as assistant manager of the current Irish set up. Read up on it.

Had one of his explosive rows with Harry Arter, accused him of not being a real irish man (he qualifies from his grand parents) or something of that sort. It front of a lot of players, many of them qualifying for Ireland the same way. Jon Walters was livid and Declan Rice reconsidered his choice to play for Ireland after seeing it.
So yea....

Oh yeah, I remember something of that Ilk. Bit ironic given Keane walked out on the Irish....

I know the world's changing, and regretfully respect is now a "concept rather than a condition of being". We always had some big personalities in the club, guys like Keane or Nobby even way back that you just know would straighten out some of these lads. But now our biggest personality is Pogba, hardly an "emissary of respect", and guys like Mata, who know what respect is, most likely aren't listened to in the locker room. I give this point to Jose, but also I think Sir Alex would have handled this in a better manner. We always return to "what would HE do". It's like that when you follow a legend. Jose's out of time regardless.
