Does Jose enjoy going completely against what the fans want to see?
Fans want to see Dalot at rb and we thought we may see him start today. No he plays bloody Ashley Young again there
Fans want Bailly what many consider our best CB. No Jose would rather see a cm above him
Fans want to see Perreira integrated in the team. A bright youngster who was our best player in pre season, comfortable on the ball, spreading play well against Leicester. Had one bad game against Brighton and we've hardly seen him since and he'd rather bloody McTominay instead who IMO is awful. Don't buy into this he's a youngster blah blah. The lad is 22 next week, not sure what people see in him at all
Fans want to see Herrera or Fred in the cm position. No we have to put up with Matic every bloody week despite god awful performances and Fellaini. Not sure what position or role that bloke is supposed to be playing
Fans wanted to see martial for ages. We finally got a chance, he took his chance therefore Jose simply couldn't drop him. He had a couple of poor games and Jose couldn't wait to drop him
Fans want to see rashford start consistently upfront and given a run of games. No we have to put up with that carthorse of a footballer every bloody week now that he is fit again.
Jose seems to revel when one of the fan favourites has a poor game. He's done it with the likes of rashford yet praises consistently the likes of Matic and McTominay.

Agreed. It was a negative selection, with square pegs in round holes, and no matter who we were playing, I don't see how it could have ended well.
The mayhem and surprising entertainment of the first half was unexpected. Us failing to go in front and reverting to a dreadfully boring and clueless second half wasn't

I don’t honestly think Jose knows his best starting 11.
I saw the team sheet yesterday and couldn’t believe my eyes.

Me either. Jose's best 11 is those players who've annoyed him least reacently imo

You have to have base consistency a spine the team plays off.
You have De Gea

Yeah that's true. I like Lindelof but he has a lot to prove, we don't have a holding midfielder, Pogba does what he wants, when he wants and Lukaku lacks technique, plus discipline, given his weight gain.
All in all, I think we have a great spine 😥

A lot of work needed, it will be a couple of seasons before you can start challenging and that’s if you get the organisational structure right from top to bottom.

And that's the key thing. Easy to change managers, left, right and centre, but without any cohesive forward planning, throwing money at it won't bring success. We definitely need to start thinking in that way, regardless of who is in charge.

Better sacking him now, and start to letting the new manager bed in, get th players he wants out sorted and start drawing up a list of transfers of players suited to the new system.
Better than trying to do it during a pre season.
Get a director of football in now as well.

There isn’t a playing ethos at united.

100%. I think we've gone beyond the point where anybody thinks things are going to improve. Jose should go now but he won't go til CL is mathematically impossible. As Woodward writes it into a managerial contract that they won't be sacked until CL qualification is mathematically impossible. So Jose will go in February or March, and we'll suffer this brutality until then.
Hopefully, we are (as rumours suggest) looking at appointing a DOF at this stage and hopefully we're looking at bringing in a guy who can work in that system.
The problem is bringing in that manager mid season. Pochettino would be ideal but why would he leave Spurs for United, right now?
