How long will the wilderness years last?

We are where we were in 70s and where Liverpool were in the 90s.

The trouble is right now we are not even heading in the right direction. Once we are it will probably take 3 or 4 years to get to the top again. So were looking at least a decade without winning the league.

Unfortunately this is not because of Moyes or Van Gaal or Mourinho. Its because of Woodward.

I've said a number of times hes not a football man hes a business man. His entire focus has been on the business side of the club. Making sure the balance sheet is spot on and maximising the return to the shareholders. He doesn't have a strategy on the pitch. Its secondary concern to him.

When Gill was here we had Woodward focussed on business and Gill focussed purely on the pith. Gill got football and it worked.

I dont care that Woodward is some ace business man. Im not here to support maximising the income of the Glazers or the bonus of Woodward. Its all about the results on the picth.

We are the richest club in the world and this idiot is not only wasting it but he's actually passing it on to other clubs in the form of transfer fees as well as making a bunch of parasitic 'superagents' extremely rich.

We cannot start dreaming about winning the league again until Woodward is gone.

Yep, difficult to disagree with that observation.

Belive it or not e are the tru owners of the club not the Glazers

Nice romantic sentiment... but wrong.

The Glazers own the club, lock, stock and barrel.

To be fair to Liverpool in the 90s, we were still entertaining to watch.

The Glazers own about 75% of the club. 25% of the club’s ownership is in shares listed on the NYSE.

The largest shareholder of the publicly listed shares is an American investment fund, Baron Capital. They own about 9% of the club now if I’m not mistaken.

Then there is the debt, which is still close to £500m. I haven’t checked recently, but I believe a very significant amount of that debt (over £200m) is still secured against the assets of the club.

So no, the club is not owned lock, stock and barrel by the Glazers.

We definitely still own the barrel. It is getting plenty of scraping at the moment too.
