Was a tad busy and only caught about half today's game between both halves. Arsenal were far the better side and deserved to win. Was ridiculous we went into HT trailing. Few observations:

1) Without a fit and in-form Dembele, Spurs look a far less imposing side. In my opinion, it is an overlooked reason for why Spurs have struggled in so many games this season. Always hated seeing the guy on the Spurs teamsheet anytime we played Spurs, cos you knew his technical qualities and physicality would be hard to live with. The Diers and Winks and Sissokos are not in the same class. The guy is feeling his age though and Spurs would need to do really good business to adequately replace his quality.

2) Torreira has proven me wrong. I wasn't entirely convinced how a 5'5 little imp could thrive in the chaos of the Premier League, but he's yet to have a bad game this season. Fantastic signing. Only 22-years-old too.

3) I don't know how a wingerless team like us are thriving as we have in attack. That's testament to Emery's nous. Only City have outscored us in the PL this season. Removing set-piece goals, penalties and own goals, we have scored over double Spurs' goals in open play (23 to 11) so far. Regardless, that is still a crisis area in our squad.

4) We could very well not make top 4 this season as the competition for those spots is harder than ever. But other than City who are in a class of their own, I don't feel like any team is out of reach. Among the rest of the chasing pack, Liverpool have the greatest potential to really step it up, but they've seemed more inhibited than I expected this season. We have to do good business in January though.

Arsenal. Hilarious lot, first win over a top six team in about two years, and suddenly they have morphed into a CL team. Remember the last team they were in that competition, 10-2 comes to mind.

Would like to have seen Arsenal’s players energy levels had they had a proper game in midweek against champions league calibre opposition. Think it was only Holding who played any part on Thursday. As we get more into December and the games come thick and fast for each team will be interesting to see how the arsenal squad cope having to put the first team out every 2-3 days.

Dele Alli completed six passes in the second half. Four of those were from kick off.

The most overrated player I have ever known, is Alli.
The only player I would want from Spurs in an Arsenal shirt is Ericsson and Son

Spurs were very poor today, and made Arsenal look a lot better than everybody is making out. I was not overly impressed with them, sure they won the game, but had Spurs been at it after a very tough week, it could have gone the other way. Only mistakes in the last 10 minutes gave the scoreline a rather flattering outlook.

Sandy,
You give the term "sore loser" a bad name!

We saw all these premature celebrations same time last years, then Arsenal got a right schooling in the return match at Wembley, expect the same again. Spurs, as it stands are a CL club, Arsenal a Ropey league club, nothing much will change there in the coming years.

We have not beaten Spurs in recent seasons by outplaying them at their own game. More power. More intensity and more structure.
