Klopp mixing it up

I think we started the season with Salah right and Firmino in the middle.

The performances were just as poor as they are now and we were/still are picking up points.

Salah right and Firms in the middle is what every opponent is ready for, seems naive that people think it will continue to work a charm like last season. It won't IMO because the rest of the league isn't just sitting around on its rse waiting for the same thing as a last season.

At least not until Klopp has confused opposition enough by mixing it up so that when we play Salah right Firms middle, it bamboozles them again.

Salah on the right is being double marked out of the game. Mane and Firms aren't doing so well IMO and we have no one in midfield providing a serious threat.

Teams can happily put two players on Salah most times. It won't serve us when he's on the flank IMO, too easy to defend.

Last season Salah would often score if not pressed hard, defenders just trying to marshal him only to be shocked with a shot to the top corner. Now they stay very tight.

We would also often isolate a defender and Salah would cause damage, but now, its nigh impossible to see Salah isolating anyone to work his magic because they are all over him for 90 minutes no matter where he goes. He's our talisman. Teams realise that they can limit us if they can mark him out of the game.

I support Klopp mixing it up. There are other ways to blow away opposition. We can't keep relying on what we did previously as I feel its been sussed.

Only Pep's style is yet to be sussed in this league. No one comes here and does the exact same thing over and over without getting sussed pretty quick IMO.

At the start of last season no one imagined we would become the creature that we later became.

I Just trust in Klopp and what he is doing and I just know that there is another monster that's going to come out of this, one that will be more ferocious, efficient and complete than what we saw last season.

It might not happen soon but it will happen eventually and let's hope we can then knick some trophies.

Anyone agree/disagree

I think the loss of both Coutinho and Can has contributed to that too Paisley. Those two were here when Klopp joined and were integral. We are doing well pointswise having moved on from them.

Integrating Fabinho and Keita is a whole different ball game but I'm confident Klopp can nail it.

We haven't always spent like we did in the summer and I feel its blinding people.

We are still doing this organically, unlike City who have all these stars in their team, so much so it makes no difference if any of them isn't playing or is sold.

I think once keita and fabonho get regular games we wil be more dynamic and start playing better.

A few players are out of form at the mo but its no biggie....it will come and the derby win might just be the catalyst.

Yep, moving people round isn’t working and Bobby looks lost. Get back to 4-3-3 and maybe play around with the position of the 3 in the middle.

Current tinkering is producing the goods more than 433, results wise.

It's beyond time to start rotating the players. Some of them, especially the front three, are knackered.

I understand mixing it up but not Salah as the no. 9. If hes gonna do 4-2-3-1 play Studge up front. Kieta once getting the run of games will be a beast. But our peformance need to pick up otherwise we gonna loses some crucial games.

Fair point Blav but I don't think we will play the same way all season long.

In any case, we lost lots of crucial games last season too using the famous 433 formation. How can you then argue we might do the same this season when we haven't lost a game in the league.

We have improved on last season and collected more points than anyone bar City. Is that not down to Klopp?

And if we lose a crucial game will that then be down to Klopp 'tinkering with the squad' since the start of the season?

Sounds like a paradoxical quagmire.

We conceded a bit too many goals last season. With our squad we are a near certainty to score at least once per game. Klopp is trying to find a balance between attack and defence which wasn't there last season.

All IMO.

Yeah Blav all looking good so far.

Clearly we wouldn't be where we are now playing last seasons style.

Klopp is a football genius and even though he's not getting the credit yet, he is pulling off a Masterstroke keeping up with this City team.

He looked at last season and has adjusted us to try to keep pace with the leaders. Perhaps we can even knick it. Who knows?
