Now the dust has settled on

yesterday`s match, moved on to Wednesday and Southampton, then another five very winnable games taking us up into the New Year. Everton away being the most difficult, although Spurs have a really good record at Everton, so should be winning that one as well.

Come the New Year, Spurs should be hopefully back in a top three position again, as the other clubs around Spurs are all facing each other in head to heads. Spurs have had a difficult fixture list last few games, now should start to ease.

Be nice if Spurs could get a settled defence, just seem unable to with injuries and suspensions. But it is what it is, so no point in moaning. With Verts suspended midweek, does Poch put his trust in Foyth again, I would not be against it, I think he did make a mistake for one of the goals yesterday, no question, but was unfairly slated by a lot on the board last night, but he is still a very, very good central defender. Other than that Poch will have to move Dier back to play alongside Toby, not exactly ideal, but will be a lot easier in all probability than yesterday. I would expect Rose to start against Southampton as well. My team would be

Lloris
Aurier
Toby
Dier
Rose
Sissoko
Winks
Eriksen
Dele
Son
Kane

Will be looking for a good bounce back, and expect something like a 3-0, need to start smashing a few teams now, push the goal difference up a bit. Should do with the absolute amount of home games Spurs have in hand over all the rest of the division, some real batterings on the horizon I suspect. Come the New Year Spurs will still have 11 home games to play, a massive advantage, in fact Spurs have done really well to be just a few points off the top with the amount of away games already played. Fair play to them, obviously they will have had the odd hiccup, but still very much in all four competitions on offer this season.

FA Cup draw today as well, my favourite cup competition, and I shall do another article about that later on today. Prem club at home please to start off with would be fine with me. Spurs can meet the cannon fodder later in the tournament for a change.

Anyway hopefully in a couple of days time, Spurs will have reclaimed their top four spot again, and I don`t see them relinquishing it again this season, not the way the fixtures will then start to pan out.

we need new energy in the team badly
----------------------------------------------------------------------
exactly you have the same 7 or 8 players playing every game
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Name me a team that doesn`t. Every top team play their top players most games, it is what it is. The top players are expected to play every game. Most of the best teams will play the same eight or nine players every Prem match.

Man city
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Man City play 8 or 9 regulars most Prem matches.

can see arsenal losing to United nowcup final hangover

spurs should get the win at soton so then we are above them again. I look at the teams in the league and only Liverpool and City are better than Spurs, just depends how many more twaaaty performances Spurs decide to put in, in big games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

City are better, Liverpool certainly are not. They are nicking results, their season is in my opinion a couple of injuries or dodgy results from the wheels coming off. Yesterday they were extremely lucky. Can see them going out of the CL, and dropping plenty of points in the Prem.

We were nicking results too, less deservedly so, and we have their defence from a few seasons ago and now they have a good one

we have Leicester and Everton coming up and need to win both of them
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably will.

I would not be against putting the youth team out in the league cup, Arsenal can have that one, not a competition I am overly interested in now, concentrate on the Prem and FA Cup.

Cannot think of any game we have nicked in the last minute this season, or injury time, Liverpool have done that a few times. You could hardly say we nicked the Wolves game for example, when we were leading 3-0.

Shouldn`t really make any difference, Spurs are a much better team than them.

We have been 1 goal up and hanging on for dear life is what im saying, in way too many games for my liking.

We are a better team than Watford and Arsenal and lost to them. it doesn't work like that Sandy.

If we can win every single game between now and the end of the season, I'll be happy.

You'll still blame Levy and Trippier
