FA Cup Draw tonight, BBC1 7.30

That's a good draw. And despite what Phenom says an easy run gives us the best chance of winning it. I'd rather make hard work of teams like Tranmere/ Southport and go through than get a top 6 team and be out. Yes we will have to beat the big teams if we are to win it, but let that be in the semis/ final not in the 3rd round.

Have to use this as an opportunity to give some players a few days off to rest any niggles or lingering injuries.

Given Southport's National League status most likely Tranmere Rovers then.

Sandy may remember the 1953 3rd Round games -
1-1 at Prenton Park followed by a 9-1 mauling at WHL in a mid week afternoon replay - before floodlighting .
I have the paper clippings from the replay - 'Tottenham Terrorise Tranmere'.

Let's hope for more of the same - save for the indignity of a replay!

Agreed. We will need a few first teamers in there to make sure we go through but it should be used to rest players as well as giving young promising players a shot.

I’m pretty sure that arsenal and Liverpool were drawn against each other in the last 32 a few years ago in the FA cup,
