Villa, Clark, Bielsa

3 frustrating reports out today involving Villa, Clark and Bielsa

* Villa are apparently set to sign Heaton in January

* Man City are in for Clark and will pursue him in January. Will cost them 10 mil but its a player we face losing.

* Phil Hay says that Bielsa's reaction to losing Cooper and Dallas will be to shrug his shoulders, and play someone else there, as opposed to planning a long term solution (transfer)

To summarise, letting Villa nip in and getting Heaton would be poor on our part, we need a better keeper option and he would be astute for us. Clark should stay, he'll get far more games here, but will get far more cash and the chance to train with the best players in the country there, tough one. We're running out of players to shoe in at right back, we could go and get a decent right back from league 1 for a couple of million or less, perhaps even a top flight loanee who would be better than playing a teenage centre midfielder at RB, one who looks like he's just left school. That kind of mentality from Bielsa would cost us a top 2 spot.

I'd be more worried about bids coming in for Roofe, Phillips, Pontus in January

Agree with this, still won't stop papers creating rumours

Little business is done in January transfer window, more concerned that the obvious gaps in the squad will not be filled not overly worried that there will be a massive outflow, need a new keeper and as it stands CB.
Hoping that Halme will develop alongside Pontus.
Phillips is Leeds through and through, he will only move on if we want to sell him.

I really doubt anyone important will be sold.

I'm convinced its happening this season....we have pretty much played everyone this season and I'm not worried about anyone.

From now until May every game is like a cup final and I cant wait for it all....I daren't miss a game

Bielsa is therefore reluctant to jump into the transfer market because new players have a lot to adjust to on and off the pitch.

Only way I can see Clarke going is if they loan him straight back. Paper talk.

To be honest they way we are playing I’d be surprised if no clubs were looking at some of our players.

Sheet happens but I’m sure AR wants promotion - so whatever happens that will be the top priority.
