One nil down, don't sharpen the knives for Klopp just yet.
We are unbeaten, best ever start, best defence, better than last seasons tally etc etc etc.
So what if we go a goal down or (eventually) lose a match? Its not like we'll be catching City, is it? At this rate top 4 could be confirmed much earlier this season(fingers crossed)
Apart from thundering football, everything else is at an extremely high level so far, as high as you can expect. Somehow the points keep coming home after 90 minutes.
We beat Neverton with Wij and Fab and now we done Burnley with Milner and Keita. We need to use the squad well if we are to have a chance. Its brilliant from Klopp so far.
In your opinions, would we be where we are now if we had stuck to last season's tactics? Especially pre-Virgil?
Perhaps we'd have 3-6 less points? I know only one or two are having a go but still strange to me.
Also, Virgil and Allison Can't believe how immense they are, and credit to the club for the extremely shrewd business.
Allison could be the best in the league (I said it) if he keeps this up and we waited for VVD, didn't sign other players and took a lot of criticism for it but my, its been worth it.
We have some hard fixtures coming up but all good so far.
Don't sharpen the knives just yet

Nothing really surprising in that thread. TVJ and LamCam acting like bel ends.
Worst part for me was Goofy harassing his new born child who refused to acknowledge that we were trailing:

He really needs to put his fingers on a diet or use bloody predictive text at least. Although it might struggle also.
As for the match thread, it's ridiculous. Full of whining clueless annoying little weasels. You've got the two Henderson stalkers, one named Francis, the Jackal and Hyde guy who thinks he's brothers who believes all our players are rubbish, especially the young ones, the guy who is so weird he WUMs his own fans during every match thread and of course the guy who may as well be speaking an unknown foreign language as his fingers are too fat for his keyboard.

I don't get this not catching City talk. We're two points behind them and have been close to them throughout the season. Yes they have the best squad in the league and are playing well but things can change in a season. People talk as if we're ten points behind them.

Are you saying we can catch them?
If you are then I'm not tryna stop you but until things change then they haven't changed. We still look more likely to drop points than City IMO but you're right.

This. I remember TVJs thread wishing City would beat Utd so that our top 4 chances would be better. Well he got his wish but if Utd had beaten City we would be top and still be 13 points ahead of Utd...

Hilarious but I don't see the relevance of that to this article tbh.

IMO people are seeing that this is happening by pure force of will and individual quality not a team performance that can be relied on.

Why is that such a difficult thing to grasp?
We still have to play them @ their place and it's not inconceivable that they will play more expansive football than they did at Anfield.
When they do play like that, they leave gaps at the back that can be exploited. They can be got at and Liverpool are the team that can get at them.

Do we just dare not dream at this point? Maybe it might work out better chasing City than being chased.
Let’s see in about 4 months time as it’s too early to say right now. December is always a crucial period in the season. Besides the CL which we’re not out of yet, I’m definitely happy with the team and it’d be impossible for any rational fan not to be. Just goes to show that Klopp has raised the expectation level (back to where it should be in all honesty).

That's assuming we at least match all their points tally all season long. We could beat them at the Etihad and still not win it.
However, I obviously hope you are right.
