Motherwell 1 v 1 Celtic

Hugely frustrating night.

With Rangers losing to Aberdeen we would have went top with a win last night and that’s the biggest disappointment. Having said all that, a win on Saturday means we go top of the table with a game in hand over Killie, Rangers play on Sunday so we’ll have a game in hand on them too after that.

I don’t think the changes caused as much of the problems last night but arguably his subs did more damage. He’s usually spot on with his subs but Ntcham off was a bad decision as was sending on Sinclair instead of Forrest.

Rogic almost lost the ball every time he got it and Edouard nearly cost a goal

Started the game well and got the goal through a good move, Christie again finishing well. Nothing was sticking up front and that was largely down to the hopeless Griffiths. I actually wanted him to start, thought he’d have something to prove but he was the usual clumsy, greedy woeful finishing self. Another pen missed by him, he’s absolutely shocking at them.

Hayes and Gamboa weren’t much better, Hayes had a few runs down the wing but he didn’t pick one man out with a cross Gamboa causes the Motherwell goal, schoolboy stuff.

Referee was abysmal, chopped off a perfectly good goal for us, ridiculous decision then failed to send off 2 Motherwell players for 2 clear 2nd yellows.

It’s 2 points dropped no question but a win on Saturday is an absolute must to get back to the top and start winning the league games until the winter break, do that and we’ll have a comfy lead at the top of the table.

Btw, Scott Brown 100% slows our game down, felt like yawning watching him on the ball, get him back on the bench and get McGregor next to Christie with Rogic ahead. That said we might need McGregor on the left given Sinclair was absolutely useless again.

Fair play to Steve Clarke and Kilmarnock, a terrific run they’re on and Saturday will be a hard game.

I don't follow English football closely but it looks like Man City are just going to run away with it, aren't they?

Rogic this season has been awful.

Keeps dithering on the ball. It’s almost as if he’s forgotten how or when to pass the ball.
