Bournemouth Vs Liverpool

Hardly any rest at all but crucially the same goes for Bournemouth, they are playing their 3rd game in 8 days too and for the teams with a smaller squad its much tougher.

Bournemouth have only been beaten by Manchester United and Arsenal at their place so it wont be easy but, as i said earlier its their 3rd game in 8 days and its likely fatigue will play a part for them, specifically imo the last 30mins of the game.

We have many options but we know Gomez..AOC are defo out and we could miss Robertson and Mane. For me id play this team:

..................Alisson...........
TAA....Lovren...VVD.....Robertson
.........Fabinho....Wijnaldum..
.....................Keita...............
..........Shaqiri........Firmino
......................Salah..........

Play a diamond in mf for me

He has no point when after 16 games they may not even be top.

And THAT'S THE POINT!

Exactly.
Everyone projecting City's points haul, and what Liverpool will have to do, when the reality is, if Chelsea beat them, which isn't the biggest stretch, and Liverpool beat Bournemouth, for all the talk, Liverpool are top after 16 games.

There's a very good reason for that, since they lost 4-0 at Goodison two years ago their consistency has been insane and it's showing no signs of stopping infact if anything it looks like getting worse (for the rest of us).

Full credit for keeping up until this point but reality is you're in the title race like Sevilla are in Spain, technically yes but realistically you are massively up against it!

DD...lets see.

Oh and the same could be said of City...they are up against it! Liverpool have closed the gap and have strengthened all their weaknesses......

Lets see how City cope.

I agree.
We are entirely up against it.
I watched them the other night, and the pace and accuracy of their passing, movement, and understanding, was quite frankly frightening, but we just need to keep looking to the next game, which I know is a cliche, but if you start imaging City's potential points haul, you might as well give up.
If this is potentially the greatest team to grace the premier league, hopefully they will find it somewhat disconcerting to see another team, right on their tail.
And if results were to go our way this weekend, which might be a biggish if, as nothing is gaurenteed in the PL, including us beating Bournemouth, we just might sow a few seeds of doubt in their minds.

Yes rouge......they are clear by a huge 2 points and could be displaced at the top of the prem this weekend, but yeah....might as well hand over the trophy now, they are miles clear

Cmon lets be realistic here. City are another level. We will drop points as our squad isnt nearly as good as citys (moreno origi for example). Gomez out now is a big test as hes been immense.

Why did you say play a diamond in midfield but post a formation with no diamond in midfield?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he meant play Milner.
He's a lovely fella by all accounts.👍

In 126 years we have our best ever top flight start (for a club that's won the thing 18 times) and we are still second.

Just goes to show how ridiculously good this City side is.

Or, this is reckoned to be the greatest premier league team of all time, and if results go our way this weekend, we go above them after 16 games played, which goes to show how ridiculously good this Liverpool side is.😉
