Because we're going for Pochettinoooo
So say the press anyway. Makes a lot of sense really. He's the kind of manager we need and should be going for. It's far from certain we will get him but we should dangle a few carrots his way for sure. He'd stand to more than double his wages at United plus get a hefty transfer budget too. He'd be a fool to not think about it at the very least.

But the director of football isn’t in a position to do that. They have no say or influence on the board, and they are the fundamental problem for me.
A lot of people are of the belief that a director of football and a new coach will fox things but I think it goes beyond that.
We’ve failed in the recruitment department of playing and coaching staff for years now. I’m not confident the director of football will be the correct appointment and that the managerial and player recruitment will all of a sudden improve either.

Ed: "Didier, how do you feel about coming out of retirement?"
Drogba: "I can't run any more Ed. My knees are shot to hell."
Ed: "I've 900k per week that says they aren't."
Drogba: "The little boy inside me says I can play 3 more years."

I'd have thought he would go to Trafford for more money. He won't win anything at Spurs and he won't win anything at United either.

He’s already the fourth highest paid manager in the world so I doubt money will be the main factor in him leaving us.
Only a real chance of winning something would entice him imo

Van Gaal and Mourinho won trophies at United. I don’t see why Pochettino couldn’t. Winning the big prizes is another matter.

We've won 3 trophies since Fergie retired and we've been awful for most of that time.
Where were you when you were awful? Away at Grimsby.
