Pete Shelley RIP

Sneakin' in the back door
With dirty magazines
And your mother wants to know
"What are those stains on your jeans?"

Sad news

One of the most influential musicians in the Punk era and beyond. The Buzzcocks were such a superb live band.

Seen them a few times live, the latest as special guests at Castlefield Bowl in the summer. Great Manchester band. Sad sad news.

Those were the days in Manchester, Tony Wilson, Joy Division, the Buzzcocks, the Fall, Magazine, John Copper Clarke. Buzzcocks were a great live band with tons of energy. RIP Pete.

Saw the Buzzcocks loads of times back in the day.

They used to peg ticket prices at 50p at the Apollo and seemed to be playing there on a monthly basis.

Favourite memory was probably the last night at the Electric Circus:

Tony Wilson in a gold lamé jacket announcing the bands - Magazine, a few others including The Worst (who really lived up to their name) and the Buzzcocks.

Happy days.
