Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is "very happy" and "fully committed" to the club, according to his agent.
Mourinho's position at the club has been under scrutiny this season with United currently eighth in the Premier League, eight points off the top four.
The Portuguese, 55, signed a contract extension at Old Trafford in January but has been linked with a return to former club Real Madrid.
"It's totally untrue," said his agent Jorge Mendes via a statement.
Mourinho reluctant to pick £47m Fred until Man Utd 'defensively stronger'
"Jose is very happy at the club and the club is very happy with him. He has a long-term contract with Manchester United and is fully committed to the club in building a solid winning project."
Mourinho's United play Fulham at home on Saturday.

Jorge Mendes rarely talks in public, so there is huge significance around the statement that has been released on his behalf.
The big question is what the significance actually is.
For that, there has to be an answer to whether United knew it was coming out, and, more importantly, whether they agree with its contents.
One line in there is particularly interesting, namely that Manchester United "are very happy" with Mourinho.
Given United go into this weekend's fixtures in eighth place in the Premier League, 18 points behind leaders Manchester City and 14 in front of the drop zone, having collected just three points from their last four games, I can't imagine anyone, including Mourinho, can be very happy at the moment.
Anything other than a victory over rock bottom Fulham at Old Trafford tomorrow and the noise around Mourinho will intensify significantly, and no end of statements from Mendes will change that.

Yes. It’s commonly known that Portuguese is the opposite of English in meaning. Yes meavs no, virus means cure. What Jose was saying is he’s unhappy here and hates utd.

One way to look at it is is that from Mourinho's camp, they are trying to exit in the least damaging way via their Jose's troubling actions. They probably know that they are already damaged goods now and so may find it harder to get another top job at a big club.
But in reality, can you see any top club wanting to hire Mourinho after his last few stints at the top level?
Yes he still has won some silverware along the way but with all that baggage he seems to lump around with him, is it worth the short term success?
Would Real really want to take him back?
Would PSG want him?
The more he fecks about with United, the less appealing he seems to potential suitors.
Yes United have been in a spiral downafall since SAF era, but Mourinho has certainly tightened the screws.

He probably is happy, happy that he's making so many enemies in the dressing room, I reckon he gets off on stuff like that now, he can single out players and blame them for the embarrassing position the team finds itself in, he obviously can't motivate them so instead throws them under a bus

I don't think he's remotely happy. I don't think he's trying to get sacked as I've heard some journos, guys who are paid to give news on football, claim. But I think it's obvious in his whole disposition and demeanour that he's feeling the pressure and not in a great place.
But then, nor should he be, as he's alienated half the dressing room and we are in an awful state right now. The only way that seems likely to improve is with a change of manager and, probably more importantly, some clear and structured planning from above
