Sarri interview

Having listened to Sarri’s post-match interview on Hawksby and Jacobs show on talk sports today, I then listened to the presenters’ debate on it with interest as they were slightly critical over him for being too negative and defeatist!

My opinion was of the opposite view, thinking it was very refreshing to have a manager who said it as it was. Football supporters are not stupid and can see through the usual smokescreen we’re used to, by managers, to pass the buck onto anyone else but themselves.

Give me the blunt truth any day, I found it embarrassing how some of our past managers tried to make excuses for the inexcusable.

So my fellow Blues, to coin a phrase by ZahraIhsanphile, what do you prefer to hear in a post match interview – the harsh reality or a load of old flannel?

Sarri is great for calling it as he sees it...however despite this he is still selecting Morata

So I can only think he's "tapped in the napper" as my mate Craig from Burnley says
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What choice does he have though Sheriff - it's debatable who's the worst Morata or Giroud.

I get were you're coming from but when I'm praying he doesn't start Morata and goes for Giroud, I end up half way through the 2nd half, trying to think why it was I wanted Giroud to start.

This is so true, that is exactly my thought process

I like honesty. What’s the point in managers giving interviews if they’re going to give the same templated answers over and over, what would be the point listening to them? There’s nothing to be learned

Hope you had a good day Randy!

That was the main thrust of his honesty though DAA, the fact that we did play ok for the 1st 60 minutes but lost our way and could find no way back once we conceded, which what was worrying to him.

Breath of fresh air for me!

It is, and I love it too. My point is I just disagree with his overall critical demeanor, not necessarily his opinions. In the big picture I'm not sure he realizes how good a job the players (and Sarri himself) have done so far, which is actually endearing.

Honest manager is one thing.

doesnt make him a good manager.

He needs to keep his squad onboard and be backed by the owner otherwise......,

Trust a $purs fan to wade in and change the direction of the article.

Maybe you ought to be more worried about your owner backing your own manager - before he ends up at Old Trafford or the Bernabeau!
