breaching FFP Rules back in 2014, and given a slap on the wrist. Allegations are now circulating again, that they have once again breached FFP Rules

FFP was only brought in to try and sto the likes of City getting access to the financial trough the likes of Utd Liverpool Madrid Barca etc had been gorging from for years,it was for no other reason
Now you see clubs like Bolton struggling under the weight of their debts, the Oystons asset stripping Blackpool, SISU trying to run Coventry into the ground so they can get the stadium on the cheap, Portsmouth being used for money laundering, clowns like Ashley and the Venkys and, last but not least, the Glazers.
All of them carry on virtually unmolested but which owner gets all the stick?
The one who revives a club on its uppers, funds it generously, without debt yet makes it self-sustaining, transforms the local area and has his team playing the best football the league has ever seen.
And you wonder why we don’t care about the champions league 😡

I'm sure Erik will come along and say it's a load of boll*cks but I concur with all of these points.
If they do ban us from champions league so be it, no great loss, we can then concentrate on the league again, I'm more than happy with that.

FFP is as much to maintain the status quo as to protect clubs from getting into financial trouble, I’ve long maintained that. If the powers that be really wanted to level the playing field then they’d put a cap on everything such as wages and the value of sponsorship deals.
We’ll use my club (Spurs) and Man United as the example here;
Our kit deal is probably worth £30m a year compared to about £75m or whatever for United. Admittedly united haven’t won the league for a few years now, but how long would both clubs have to remain in their current trajectory for that sponsorship imbalance to even itself out? 10-15 years maybe? So we’re supposed to punch above our weight for all that time whilst not being picked off by the European elite to get amongst them? Tough and pretty unrealistic task I feel.

There has the threat to test in court if UEFA are acting against European law in limiting legitimate investment and competition. I know that was a possibility in the last round of FFP ballox. I doubt that UEFA would be overly anxious to reopen that particular can of worms now that FFP is old hat.

Football finance expert Rob Wilson of Sheffield Hallam University has confirmed, after examining both toolkits, that UEFA’s change did make a difference, although he says that alone would not explain City’s breach.

You won't be banned so this article is useless to debate on.

Only an idiot would not realise that FFP was a thinly disguised attempt to allow certain clubs to keep their noses in the trough and preclude any others joining them. Why not just introduce a rule saying only certain clubs can play in the CL? UEFA won't want this going to court as all their dirty laundry will be washed in public.

Think United, Liverpool and Chelsea have at certain times failed to qualify for the CL since FFP was introduced. Being part of this 'club' didn't stop them from not being allowed to take part. Milan would also be considered part of the elite. Haven't they been banned from Europe for breaking FFP laws?
Maybe if they were actually rich enough to bully Uefa into not banning them via threatening a legal sh*tstorm they would be allowed the same privileges currently afforded to the likes of City and PSG?
