Dalot

We're usually lucky if we get one good cross a month from all of our fullbacks combined.

This kid put in at least 5 absolute beauties today.

He should be starting the majority of games in the league for me. We have nothing to lose by doing so and it will help his development.

Darmian surely won't be a United player much longer and Valencia is on his way out.

Looks like a very decent prospect and one I hope to watch week in week out.

Yeah it's great to have a full back willing to run in behind and take on the opposition full back. Been a huge issue for me the past few seasons.

Trouble is there was nobody attacking his very good crosses.

Diddly squat to suggest he can actually defend.

Not that the usual dingbats inc., really seem to care about that.

Potentially just another backward step (a la rafael).

If he become defensively capable, then fair enough, I'll be the first to let you know. But until then, use the best you've got - and he isn't that.

Who is?

Valencia?

Darmian?

Absolute breath of fresh air was Dalot today.

I've always said a competent attacking right back could make a massive difference to the dynamic of the team. When you play as we do with no right winger, the right back has to put in a performance like that. Makes such a change from Valencia constantly turning around and passing backwards.

He did look a bit exposed defensively against Arsenal and I'd be wary of throwing him into tougher challenges. Wouldn't be starting him at Anfield next week for example. But in games we are expecting dominate he must play.

Head and shoulders the best player on the pitch today

Been encouraged but I think he is missing the engine modern full backs need as well as that yard of pace.

I know we bought him injured but surely his fitness has been built back up by now.

Did he not get injured again recently?

Don’t agree on the yard of pace however, he seems quick.

I’d see what he can do against Liverpool. He wouldn’t be any worse than or other RBs have been recently.

Pace? He didn't give sessengon much of a sniff and he's rapid.

He has issues with the passes in between him and the RCB (noticed this vs Arsenal too) but so does Valencia tbh.

He wont play him at Anfield. I would but Jose will go for Young/Valencia no doubt.

I've been pleasantly surprised about him as I wasn't expecting much. I prefer him to start over the other options.
