QPR player Toni Leisner tweeted yesterday "hard to play against a tough team and a s---- referee".
Seriously, if that's not worth a one game ban I don't know what is. We'll see in the next few days but I don't expect anything to come of it. With Charlie Austin escaping a ban for saying almost the same as Jansson but for longer, it's hard to argue we aren't being held up to different standards.

What is better is Jassons response.......
You might be in prison if you use those words as a Leeds player 😂
All the best big man, stay strong!

Surely this is worse than Jannsons? This QPR player has had time to think about the tweet whereas Jannson was pressured into his quote right after the match.

Did you see Pontus twitter post about Hernandez?
Said he was best player he'd ever played with.
Klich replied saying thanks and Pontus said were you playing today?

Its as bad as Pontus statement, maybe more so as made after a period of reflection.
However, I want players to be able to speak their minds, if the authorities want to protect the game from disrepute, then I would suggest they focus on these things first:
Safeguarding players and kids from abuse
Zero tolerance to racism and homophobia (hold clubs to account more then they will address the problem more)
Safeguarding fans from parasitic owners
Make referees accountable for their actions ie let them be interviewed on their performances

Agree with that Jonty

I would rather they just do all those things anyway, as they should be minimum requirements really, whilst also punishing this sort of behaviour.

Jansson woulda got a 20 game ban for that. Safe to say, that QPR player won't be signing for us in January. We always get **** refs

Also agree with Jonty,
I think referees would actually have more respect if they were allowed to be criticised, and they also acknowledged mistakes.
Putting this wall up doesn't help anyone
