Reports and rumours (I know) from France that we are the most determined to sign him, we've been linked with him, Toby and koulibaly in the last few days, although they're players we should be going for and if we pulled them off we'd all be very happy, I find it hard to get excited about transfer rumours. Especially when the big signings we've made like Pogba have brought nothing but disappointment. Can't see the board letting Jose spend 60million on ANOTHER midfielder when he has a 50 million Fred and 90millon Pogba on the bench recently aswell.

I find it hard to get excited about transfer rumours because they are largely fabricated out of thin air by hacks, have a success rate of 1%, and have zero material impact on my immediate life or future.
Getting excited about a transfer rumour is akin to getting excited about a distant work colleague buying a lottery scratch card.

We were linked with Toby during the summer until a few days before the transfer deadline. It then turned out that we were not interested in him despite Tottenham contacting us twice and lowering their fee from £70m to £50m.
I take these with a pinch of salt really.
