What a revelation Sissoko has been this season, ever present and finally showing what he brings to the team.
Absolute beast of a player and showing why we bought him in the first place.
Also a shout out for Rose tonight, thought he was one of our best players in an excellent team performance.
Sissoko and Rose

My mates girlfriend is very hairy, if I mentioned it to him I would be being truthful but I doubt he would thank me for it.

A fit and on form Rose improves our team and if Sissoko had a final pass, and could finish, he would be absolute top drawer

we bought sissoko as a CM, played him everywhere apart from CM. he was rubbish. have now played him in his actual position and hey presto he is playing well.

Tbh i dont buy this 'Sissoko is now awesome' view.
He is big, fast and powerful yes, but tactically offers little but versatility and is a 'filler'.
In terms of ability and his displays he is so inferior to what you have, when fit, and what is out there for around that money.
I did predict Spurs would find it much easier in Barca than most thought, but lets not get carried away and suggest sissoko was key.
He offers no goals or assist,is hardly a defensive linchpin and I think Spurs fans need a reality check.
You are trying to cement your place as contenders, season in and season out, and he is way below par.
Obv serves a purpose with injuries but spurs have and should be aiming for much better.
Not making costly errors against a Barca B team that had already qualified should not be used to define his quality tbh.
When the big boys turn up with their strongest 11 you need every player to offer something, and I just dont think he does offer anything other than he can play numerous places.
Where Spurs are going you cant carry passengers if you want to get worthwhile trophies.

Yeah he was being played far too wide and far forward

its football basics really. play players in their correct position. fack knows why poch thought he was some kind of winger or tricky attacking mid.... he has always been a CM, and at the time of signing should have been in the mix with Dembele Dier Wanyama and Winks. not in the mix with Son Eriksen Alli and Lamela. (and now Lucas)

So a player doesn't score or assist, and isn't an obvious DM like Kante = he's a passenger
Sissoko is very important to the team in recovering the ball in the breakdown, his pressing is good and he closes space well. Offensively, he's probably our best counter-attacker with his pace and directness. He tends to struggle when space is restricted, but in an open, end-to-end game he's one of the best.
He's not a flashy player, and if you base value on goals and assists he won't score highly, BUT he's a very useful situational player and more than worth his squad place at a top club.

I dont base it just on thise things but in the modern game u need to offer at least one in a modern midfield.
I just dont think saying 'if he has space to punt it into he is good' is the standard Spurs should be aiming for.
I also think saying he is one of Spurs best counter attacking players is really under estimating nearly every other option u have in Kane, Son, Eriksen and lamela/lucas/Kane.
I just dont think he has ever showed the form that made him stick out as a kid in France. Just my opinion but I think he just isnt upto scratch.
U can get water carriers that offer more and im sure Potch is looking
