Do strikers have it too easy ?

Mané was diabolical with his finishing last night. Firmino has been frustrating all season, unfortunately he has no decent competition.

Not defending karius for one minute but he did ok for most of last season cost us 2 goals in the final and lost his job , yet mane Misses last night could have also cost us our European campaign and yet no criticism other than he had a poor game .

If you had an absolutely lethal striker like Fowler, Rush or Owen up top you do wonder how many extra goals we would score.

Yes but that’s not the point , it could of cost us . So I’m the same way we have a much more reliable keeper now so we need to get a striker that is more reliable ?

Yes but that’s not the point , it could of cost us . So I’m the same way we have a much more reliable keeper now so we need to get a striker that is more reliable ?

But it didn't cost us which is why he is getting so much grief... he also has won points for us single handedly in other games which is why we are more likely to forgive an off game. Stop treating individual performances in isolation.

It’s not really an anti mane post , more the need for consistency. I do rate him he just need to be more consistent and we should be more consistent in our assessment

If we'd scored 3 more goals and still won the CL final, nobody would have been so harsh on Karius. But he singlehandedly (literally nohandedly) lost that game. And has, by all accounts, continued to make costly errors since for Besiktas.
