His track record shows that he is a nomad. He's just not at home in his own skin.
It's frustrating for us because we know there is a fantastic footballer in there, but there is so much baggage in the way that all we get are the occasional glimpse.

Agreed!

Bielsa, not sure where stress and strain comes in the ranks of illnesses in England, but here it is treated as a real threat!..

Stress, strain, depression, all things that will bring even the strongest down, and don't ask because I'm seeing specialists about all the crap now!..

I've been in a crap mood for the last 4-5yrs, and believe when I say its no fun!..

Homesickness is something that can push people over the edge, when they get that far than there's no turning back, they either do something about it, or they seek help!..

I think with Samu its more a case of he's one that cant be away from family and friends, ie, has to be at home, and his wife being pregnant is more than likely adding to the stress!..

But I have also seen people homesick away from home that have cried because they wanted to be home!..

Especially if its his girlfriend that is the one with the problem. Or his daughter. Family should always come first, and if he thinks it's best for his family that they go home to Madrid then good luck to him

Not down on the people on this thread saying things like I told you so. It's tacky. Have some grace.

Hopefully we get a replacement in in January and Brown comes back at his best. Will be a loss if we don't.

He was a joy to watch at times and it seems him and his partner have had a rough time of it so I don't begrudge him leaving if he's not happy.

Kind of explains his up and down but on his day he was majestic. Such a shame and I wish him all the best, it was a pleasure.

What I’ve heard is

They had a child few years ago and the birth was a difficult one. Had a cancer since. Pregnant again with twins but have lost one.

No reason to doubt it, but they need to be closer to family in Spain.

I just read that as well LIW, as I said earlier have to respect their decisions.

If that's true than she definitely takes priority!..

Outside of war family always comes first!..

Noel Whel ripping into Saiz
Side before self

Some of the factors make me think there is more than this than family..

1) The speed of the proposed deal
2) The fact he cant actually sign for them until January.

If this was purely family decision then it could have been put off for a couple of weeks, given we are missing 5 players through injury - 6 with Brown not right

Saiz has gained many plaudits and people see the class - form is temporary. I think we would get a really good deal for him, and we should bring in Milner immediately

£6m to £7m according to the reports, in the summer; moving to a club challenging for Europe in top flight in Spain.

Not the £1m some were expecting
