MICHAEL OWEN believes Arsenal have a new Cristiano Ronaldo on their hands in youngster Bukayo Saka.
Owen said, “Some of the skill… I watched Ronaldo doing this the other day for Juventus.
“It’s absolutely brilliant and so unlucky that it wasn’t given a goal.
“He’s just different class and by the end of the game, his confidence was oozing
What’s the hype I didn’t watch yesterday’s game but am reading today on newspapers he’s the next Ronaldo it’s so exciting I thought Reiss Nelson was next Ronaldo.

I think sometimes we give credit to Wenger for the wrong thing and ignore what he really brought to the picture. I don't think the youth system he helped setup ever really delivered. I think we ignore the likes of Clairefountain when we talk of his success at Monaco. I think Wenger's real skill was developing players as 'human beings' to take the step up into stardom. Not everyday training. Most of the young players he developed already had all the skills and technical ability coached in. Which is why Theo, Oxo, Bendtner, even Cesc's limitations never really improved. In my opinion thats not really someone who develops young talent where actual coaching, teaching, drilling is required.

I still don't see why you think Emery is being or will be more successful with youth than Wenger after only six months in the job esp when Wenger exposed his kids to higher levels of football than Emery has done so far. Let's wait and see and give him time rather than be too hasty to sing praises.

The biggest difference I see between them is the fact he is mixing youth players and first team players. And no one is bigger than the game. For example it was a dead rubber yesterday but Emery chose to play Sokratis, Lacazette and Ozil. None of expected to see that many starters in that game yesterday. Whatsmore Smith-Rowe has already suggested Emery is actually giving him direct coaching. That was something not seen under Wenger either. Of course its very early to tell and maybe Emery will become more aloof as time goes on. But at the moment it seems he is much more involved with the youth than Wenger was.

Wenger developed a lot of players with little or no first team experience into first team players. That was his role in youth development, and there were certainly a lot of successes. Ashley Cole is undoubtedly one of the best, but he also had great success in Cesc, Anelka, Bellerin, Szczesny and others.
Vieira and Henry obviously had first team experience, but he did a lot to develop them (of course he also gave Henry his debut at Monaco).
The "Youth Project" did its job, and Wenger got a lot out of young players in that time.

Remember the "years of the locusts"? Wenger did well to get his youngsters to overperform. Hence the 20 plus years in the CL. Surely this was an outstanding achievement. Seems we're quick to judge Mr Wenger only on his last years in Arsenal.

Guendouzi was a first team signing. Where has he been promoted from?
