Leeds Utd v Bolton Wdrs Matchday Thread

Leeds United convoy over the Pennines this Saturday, apparently no trains going into Bolton station due to strike action so take care if you're driving

So with Leeds in 2nd place and Bolton in meltdown in 23rd this should be a good away day and a chance to get a confidence build before the Festive fixtures, but we can't take owt for granted as we know how teams have a tendency to see us as a scalp worth taking.

Venue...Bolton University Stadium ?...Date...15th Dec...Kick Off...1500hrs

Team News
Leeds United
Leeds boss Marco Bielsa could begin a new policy of rotating players as the busy festive period approaches.
The Argentine's options should be boosted by the return to fitness of striker Patrick Bamford and midfielder Izzy Brown, according to some sources we might be without Samu Saiz

Bolton
Bolton Wanderers will face Leeds United without suspended striker Sammy Ameobi following his red card against Norwich.
Ameobi scored in the 3-2 defeat at Carrow Road before being sent off just before Norwich's stoppage-time winner.

Match facts
Bolton have lost each of their last five matches against Leeds in all competitions, despite finding the net at least once in each game.
Leeds have lost just one of their last 14 away matches against Bolton a 4-1 Premier League defeat in May 2004.
Bolton have only picked up three points from their last 11 league games, scoring five goals and conceding 17.
Leeds have had a different manager in each of their last 10 away league visits to Bolton since 1995 - Howard Wilkinson, George Graham, David O'Leary, Terry Venables, Eddie Gray, Neil Warnock, Brian McDermott, Neil Redfearn, Steve Evans and Thomas Christiansen.
Leeds have won their last four Championship matches. They last won five league games in a row in December 2009, when in the third tier.
No Championship side has made more changes to their starting line-up this season than Bolton (59, level with Sheffield Wednesday). Only Birmingham City (16) have made fewer changes than Leeds (23).
My thoughts on this are that we can't afford to be complacent and although Bolton as a club are in a bit of a mess their team is starting to show a bit of fight coming back from 2-0 down away to Norwich was pretty good and they were unlucky not to get a point...……..still I reckon we can take them 1-3 to Leeds Roofey, Pontus and a cracker from Bamford if he gets a chance, failing that Pablo will round it off

Amazed how Bamford has come back so quickly, another important result, well done defence on another clean sheet.

Just the same as most games, dominate and score once usually. Great 3 points, it always is, tough league

Brentford & Rotherham next 2 games, we need to strikers on the pitch, plus Ameobi SIX POINTS nothing less.

I have a gut feeling that Bristol will hold them to draw. Tough place to go for Norwich who I think are pretty average tbh.
