Great news...

Elland Road should be rocking, lucky for those of you who will be there, enjoy!

I wonder what the expansion plans are for the future?

Agreed, it is great news - and confirms what Dalgleish said to Radrizzani - LUFC is "the last sleeping giant."

Our current owner has done great things for the club in the last eighteen months - progress has been achieved beyond our wildest dreams. We need him to hold his nerve now, even as he is forced to swallow bitterness (over the failure of Eleven Sports UK), and focus on realising the truly massive potential opening up in the football element of his business portfolio. Promotion for LUFC generates a vast spectrum of commercial opportunities on a global basis - it will be a heroic, almost mythical return "to our rightful place" at the top table of English football blah blah blah - a great story for brand marketing.

Intersting, very different from dreams of under 60s.

In the depths of the despair I felt during the tenures of coaches such as El Tel, the Hock, the Heck, Colin, and that bigmouth Scottish git - and the appalling management failures of boardrooms featuring people like Krasner, Bates, GFH, Cellino, my wildest dreams consisted of supporting a team/club that was playing exciting, attacking, free-flowing football, coached by someone with integrity, and a boardroom that was not only capable of at least managing the club successfully but also prepared to invest a large amount of cash to mount a serious challenge for promotion.

My wildest dreams at the time, and up to the start of this season, also included the last sleeping giant taking its place at the top table - on merit - so perhaps we're not yet "beyond" such wild dreams - but it looks like we are now at last on the way to waking up!

Sweet dreams, and great stories, are made of exactly this...

Sometimes its easy to forget how shocking the last few years have been, my dreams at that time were to have integrity as opposed to focus on money at the heart of the club.

Not sure if we're there, but it certainly feels we're not being destroyed as we seemed to be under previous 34/4 owners.
