Ole,Laurent or Ryan....

I think the caretaker manager will come from one of these.
Not sure who is the best choice out of these 3.
What do the supporters think ?

I can see ed doing the easiest and stupidest thing possible thinking he will please utd fans: he’ll give it to Giggsy.

He could probably manage Bales - I mean, Wales - at the same time.

Hopefully about never.

For the interim manager I can’t think of anyone (other than a Big Sam, Pulis type) that I’d be ‘too’ unhappy with. As long as someone comes who’s willing to try and play football on the front foot and let us try to take the games to opposition, I’ll be happy. The signing in the summer of the new full time manager, along with the new DOF is the bigger decision.

We’ve all written off top 4 and CL already so just enjoy a bit of relief for the next 6 months and hopefully enjoy some football again.

Jardim isn't a bad shout. Blanc's credentials aren't bad, though I'm not sure he'd bring about free flowing football. The main positive with either of them is that they have actually achieved something in a managerial sense, could take the job with little pressure and if they do a good job, could actually be made permament.

I don't see the point in basically treading water for 5 months. Even the temporary manager should be appointed with a view to potentially being there and taking us forward in the long term. With both Giggs and particularly Solskjaer, that wouldn't be the case imo

Why do people consider Giggs above Solskjaer?

Ole is more experienced, didn’t have a great time with Cardiff but could have learned from that.

Molde had not won the league in their 100+ year clubs history and he took over and they have 2 league titles and a cup win to go with it. Not sure on the level of investment or anything but whatever league you’re in it’s still an achievement.

If he can get the players regrouped, enjoying their football and believing they’re good enough to win games by our own ability rather than defending and trying to stop the opposition then that’s good for me until the full time appointment is here.

Giggs is an illogical sentimental choice when examined is facking stupid, but most seem oblivious to this.

Ole whilst not amazingly experienced has achieved some impressive results with molde and is easily a better choice than Giggs, who has done nothing to justify any thoughts of him becoming utd manager..

I don't think either should be appointed but at least Giggs has been at the club since Fergie left and would have some idea of what a mess we're in. Appointing Solskjaer because he knows how the club work internally seems a bit foolish, as he surely doesn't. Also Solskjaer has already failed in the PL, whilst Giggs has not. Although I admit that that's a fairly poor comparison

What's wrong with either for the caretaker role?

........................

I don't think either is strong enough to not play the likes of Matic, Groot and Lukaku.

Not been impressed with Giggs for Wales, or with Ole at Cardiff.

Hope you’re right VC
