Matic, who supposedly should've been first out of the door with Fellaini, can be born-again now

Any single one of you who have slated him incessantly - week-in, week-out - to absolute fack willing to take my bet?

And even saying that... I personally still wouldn't play him on current form.... And I'd still be happy to see him go

Revisionism is now deciding that he isn't "over-the-hill", "unable to deal with the pace of PL football", a "poverty player", "not United quality", "the first player who should be out the door", etc.

He has been slated to high heaven by 90% of posters on the United board. If we'd taken a poll a week ago, I'd guess the same proportion would have said in an instant they'd have him out of the club on a free in a second.

Me? I'm trying to be upbeat... I'm chuffed jose has gone, pleased with OGS... And I still don't rate Matic... But if he plays well in new tactics I'll not complain

Regardless of who the interim manager is, I bet Matic has played 50 games in all comps by the end of the season.

31 games to go to get to 50. 21 league games left, so we need to play another ten in the CL and FA Cup, which means we need to go all the way in the FA Cup and get to the CL semis. And Matic has to play every game.

Anyway, the point remains. He is an important player for us, has been so, and will remain so under new management.
