AMAZING season so far.

I dont think we/people realise what an outstanding season Liverpool have had so far. Lets just look at whats happened since the 1st game of the season.

Everyone...i mean everyone said City will "walk" the league but Liverpool will be the closest challengers, some even mentioned City going undefeated in the premier league, city squad is too deep too strong etc.

Liverpool however have emerged as, and this IS impressive......" The ONLY team in EUROPES top 5 leagues along to remain undefeated in the league AFTER 17 GAMES" ....PLUS, we have played away to CFC..Spurs..Arsenal and beaten our biggest historical rivals Everton AND M Utd at home.

Next, in arguably the toughest CL group we emerged as runners up and through to the last 16. We have had injuries to our mf and defence to cope with but yet still have the best defensive record in the prem and our mf has coped more than ok, only 3 draws in the prem every other game won

So.....i am just bringing the attention of the above to all, Liverpool are having an absolutely amazing season so far; club records broken and leading the prem table, it truly is "so far" Liverpools BEST EVER season

I think 2019 is going to prove very disappointing for Liverpool fans

Can’t be any worse than your pathetic 2018.

To be fair cinci......wolves away is likely to be one of our most difficult fixtures.

I really rate wolves at home and lfc will have to on it to get a result. Wolves need/should worry about our mf though. We rotate that area a lot and are always fresh, this enables the pressing to never cease.

Should be a good game and Milner is back

Ok..ok....forgot to add after 17 games!

Can't say i fancy our chances to be honest, not at our best right now but will be very dangerous on the counter. Neves is not on form at all so yeah we could struggle in midfield. Expecting us to play another DM instead of one of the third forward, probably Saiss instead of MGW.

Wolves certainly a very dangerous team, proved that against all the big sides this season. Got a result against all of them bar Spurs, should have got something from that too.

Going to need to be clinical when our chances come.

I think the wolves game will be much tougher than the one versus united. I reckon if we do win will be a tight score line.

What I have enjoyed most this season is the way players have filled in for injuries and also to make an impact when required. The latest example was the way Clyne played this weekend. It makes a huge difference to picking up extra points that we were not winning last season. In fact the contributions of the likes of Matip, Origi, Fabinho, Keita, Gomez Shaqiri etc mean our squad has outperformed Cities so far.

That’s incredible considering how much more money City have spent and a testament to what a good manager Klopp is.

GB still pulling out non existent stats

anyway @ Aggers, On the contrary to your point above, I actually think Pep uses his squad better than Klopp in my opinion. There are times when I have felt like Sturridge and particularly lallana could be given more time to gain their form especially with the patchy form of Firminho.

If you consider that Sane, Bernado Silva, Jesus & Gundagon are essentially not first team players and you look at the number of games they have played already compared to Lallana,Sturridge, Origi then I dont get your point about outperforming City's squad. I certainly feel that Robertson needs a rest and I dont get why people are so reluctant at this stage to see Morena get games. You will need Robertson to be super sharp in the 2nd half of the season and he has put in too many minutes. He is one of your most essential players.

Was watching Otamendi and Delph last night and how City got 100 points with those 2 playing almost all matches last season is amazing. City are struggling at full back with walker also having a poor season and Mendy missing.

Actually when you really look back at last season you will note that City possibly performed beyond what Pep expected in terms of their progression.

The second half of the season is tougher because it wears the mind especially with targets in sight. The injuries to Trent and Milner are not a bad thing as they give them much needed rest ahead of the second half of the season.i feel Robertson and Firminho could benefit from the same.

agree with gunners post. although i don't think robertson has backup to take many games off and firminho still offers so much even when his goals drop a bit.
