Arsenal and Spurs went at pretty much full strength. Chelsea would be a real challenge should City get to the final, Spurs obviously would be easier but if the opposition is full strength it is hard to play too many youngsters.

God bless the Sheikh for paying for those warm balls once again. Bristol, now Burton, in the worlds premier and most important cup competition. Good opportunity for the youngsters to earn starts at Wembley.

Oh how nice it is 2 have 4 semi finalists and no side I don't want to win it. There's always the pantomime villain, not this time. Id prefer Burton or Spurs to win it but its going to be blue for sure.

The last few draws have favoured you greatly, almost like the way the draw opened up for England in Russia. Your Champions League Draw & League Cup draw has simply set things up nicely for the 2nd half of the season.All Pep has to do is guard against complacency, manage the players and provide valuable first team experience to your young players.

Fatigue is a huge factor in the 2nd half of the season as it affects players mentally leading to wrong decision making. Another thing you have avoided are emotional ties like say if you had drawn Atletico in CL or Chelsea in the League Cup.

Such tires tend to exhaust you particularly if you lose them.

You will almost certainly win the league cup and possibly retain the Premier League. I dont know about the Champions League, something is not right there.

You will need Debruyn, Silva at full speed and you will need Mendy back.

Delph doesnt look comfortable out there this season.

What the fack happened to Danilo???

Danilo is an ok back up, no more than that. Walker is first choice RB but prone to brain farts, Delph and Zinchenko are midfielders who fill in pretty well at LB but are not really at home there.

Yes the draw for the League Cup has been kind but City play a very different team in that competition. It tends to be injury returnees getting some game time, together with youngsters and those who are not getting much game time. CL will get harder and sometimes City are guilty of slow starts in that competition and you can get away with that in the groups but not if you are playing Barca or Real in the knockouts when they start to take it seriously. Will need the best players to be fit for those bigger games without doubt.
