I worked with a lad in his 40s a few years back that was always at work, still hanging about 2hrs after his shift was finished, in first in the morning, asking for weekend overtime constantly. Had to be forced to take his holidays told it was mandatory and he had to use them up.

One day I asked a lad who had been there for years what it was all about, turns out he had 13 weans at hame in a 3 bedroom hoose and dreaded going home

Just back from the cash machine, was there for fackin' ages. Standing behind a guy with one leg and he was stood at the machine for ten minutes! I said what the hell are you doing mate? he said "checking my balance"
