On Saturday Nuno takes his wolfpack down to the capital to take on Spurs at their temporary venue, Wembley Stadium.
Wolves go into the game on the back of a creditable, but ultimately inadequate performance against league leaders Liverpool, followed by a draw at Craven Cottage against the resurgent Fulham.

In the last week Spurs have handed out footballing lessons to Everton and Bournemouth with 6-2 and 5-0 wins respectively. To put that into perspective, in the space of 4 days Spurs have score more than half of the total number of league goals scored by Wolves this season

Currently in 2nd place in the table with 45 points, Spurs are doing rather better than many predicted at the start of the season after they spent nothing in the summer transfer window. They are one of 3 teams to achieve in excess of 40 points by Christmas, the first time that 3 or more teams have achieved that since the 1985/86 season when 6 teams did it.
Harry Kane, along with Mohamed Salah, is currently joint 2nd highest goal scorer in the league with 12. (The leading goal scorer is Arsenal’s Aubameyang with 13)

The last time the two sides met was at Molineux on Saturday 3rd November when Wolves came from 3-0 down to end the game with a respectable 3-2 scoreline thanks to two second half penalties.
This game, which will be played in a half empty stadium may well be a very different affair. With their current run of form Tottenham will surely be looking for another goal fest. Despite their history of classy performances against the league’s top sides, Wolves will do well to keep the goals against tally to a minimum and even better if they could just convert one or two of the numerous chances that they create.

This game will bring the best out of Wolves but we will still lose. Its a bad time to be playing them, unless they are so overconfident thinking they can just turn up & put 5 past us. Spurs should dominate & we will be reduced to counter attacks which should suit Traore. He will blast past Spurs last defender on the half way line and launch a series of blistering shots that will all be well wide to the left. Our only hope is he accidentally slices his pulled shot which somehow then goes straight. He had no business starting against Fulham who were always going to put 11 behind the ball.

I'm going for Mourtino & Saiss behind Neves in midfield, Traore & Jiminez up front.

This is the game we will finally score from a corner!

3-1 Spurs.

Spurs to win comfortably again, 3 or 4 nil, and close to within 3 points of the top before Liverpool play.
