Aberdeen 3 v 4 Celtic

A terrific game of football yesterday, a real festive cracker.

We got off to the perfect start, Christie heavily involved and who I thought was terrific all day playing a delightful pass over the top for McGregor who was unlucky in not picking out Rogic but it falls to Sinclair who slots it home.

Now comes the start of the Willie Collum show, let me cast your mind back to Celtic v Hearts at Murrayfield. Kieran Tierney is skipped in down the left, gets into the box and crosses the ball, 2 seconds later he’s taken out by a sliding challenge, the referee that day, none other than Willie Collum, NO PENALTY. Yesterday, Niall McGinn stands on Izzy and somehow he believes this one is a pen. I’ve no problem with it being given, I can see why it’s given but how the flook are we supposed to take referees seriously when they’re blatantly all over the place with their interpretations of fouls.

The 2nd one is just ridiculous, Collum couldn’t wait to give it for starters but Graeme Shinnie eh, the man who likes to talk about class, dignity and decorum... hahaha what a pathetic dive but good teams don’t let refereeing decisions cost you points.

Before that 2nd pen we made the crucial sub of French Eddy coming on, he’s won us the game, simple as that. A wonderful pass to Forrest for Sinclair to make it 2-1 and then what about that finish for 3-2, composure, skill and technique, not a problem for the young man Then it’s all about his pace and power for our 4th goal, he’s got the lot and he shuts a few kants up who were bumping their gums about him already.

A wee late scare at the end again but we held on for what was a deserved win.

With Rangers dropping points it now means no matter what happens on Saturday we will likely be top of the table going into the winter break with a game in hand. That said, if we win then it could very well be curtains as we would be 6 clear with a game in hand.

Fantastic day out yesterday with the lads, Grace’s absolutely pumping when the 3rd and 4th went in.
