ADMIN - Time to remove the filter button

It was a good idea originally, but is now being abused and no longer serves its original purpose.

Let’s put it to the vote and let the masses decide.

Vote 1⭐️ if you want the filter button removed.
Vote 5⭐️ if you want it to remain.

Multiboard please Admin 👍

Hey here's a thought... maybe there's a way the Admins could introduce an option whereby if you pay a subscription you can't be filtered?

Already have one taker here in the OP.

Come on, Adlads, start charging (U1863) to post

Sounds good to me. A small price to maintain freedom of speech 👍

Fair enough.

You have freedom of speech though. You are free to post what you like within the broad and generous rules of the site.

People nowadays commonly seem to conflate freedom of speech with a right to be listened to. And the first has never required the second.

You are free to say what you like. I am free to decide whether I want to hear you or not. Nobody has a 'right to be heard'. Such a thing doesn't exist, and never has, and rightly so.

Ok then. Let’s say there’s ten people in a room. One of those persons are free to say whatever they like, and the others are not allowed to answer back, they just have to take whatever’s thrown at them.

Does that seem right?

As far as your analogy goes, it sounds to me like you've already been kicked out of the room in which the discussion is taking place because you've annoyed some of the people in there, and are now listening at the door and wishing you could get back in.

When that happens in the real world, the best approach to gain re-entry, if you are so desperate to do so, is probably to show some remorse for your previously annoying behaviour and promise not to repeat that behaviour.

I suspect that nobody is throwing anything at you. People are posting comments and opinions on football some of which you might not like. I wouldn't take that personally, or you aren't going to enjoy your time on JA606, or any other Internet forum for that matter.

If you are being attacked personally, you can take that up with the Admins.

Otherwise, what's stopping you posting your own contribution on the topic under discussion in a separate article?

Mate, I’ve been here since the start, and I’m definitely not easily offended. I’ve already stated this isn’t about me, so you need to stop talking as if I’m defending myself, or have been personally insulted. What you’re describing is actually what the person in question is doing. It’s a constant cycle, he mass filters the Liverpool board, then creates an article declaring he’s unfiltered us all, and how lucky we are. Then within a week he’s filtered everyone again, mostly for the heinous crime of disagreeing with him. So if you’re talking about being over sensitive, you’ve got it the wrong way round 👍
