Blame Game, Putting Things into Perspective

First goal scored by Hull - most fans player of the season, Kelvin Phillips, passes the ball from the edge of 6 yard area and it is intercepted by Bowen who smashes it past defenders in front of goal from 8 yards out.

How many here think Phillips should just blasted it out of the penalty area?

How many think any goalkeeper in the world could have saved that?

Second goal scored by Hull - Douglas left standing by Grosicky. Alioski instead of running behind Douglas to cover him, runs towards Grosicky and is a non factor.

BPF makes a save from point blank range (any credit there), anybody disputing that?

How many think any goalkeeper in the world could have saved the rebound?

The stats from yesterday’s game:

Leeds - Hull

72% Possession 28%

22 Shots 9

7 Shots on Target 3

8 Corners 2

Hull defenders, other than gk, saved at least 2 of the line and gk made at least 2 outstanding saves.

Leeds did not get the bounce of the ball when needed, unlucky to lose by 2, but that’s just football. On the positive side, stats have been similar for the last few games, with Leeds dominating overall.

Great winning streak came to an end at 7, still top of the league with some space from second and third.

Onward and upward, we March on Together to the next winning streak.

Stay positive, good things are happening at Elland Road and other places when Leeds is away from home.

Off the top of my head:

Randolph
WBA keeper who was at Villa last season Johnstone?
Butland
Bentley
Krul
Carson

then what does it say about BPF that Bielsa was going to drop him for Blackman?

I'd also add Forster to that list, 2nd choice at Southampton but still a useful keeper.

He will want to get back in the England set up and coming here and help getting us up would be perfect way for him to do that as he could go into next season as a firm number 1 in the premiership.

Add to that he has top flight experience as well as European experience with Celtic

Could be a good signing for us

No-one is agmttacking BPF. Just been pointed out that there are weaknesses in his game that have been exposed repeatedly this season.

Fyi I'd have Johnstone, Randolph, Krul, Pantilimon, Butland and Carson at the very least above BPF.

Think your comments on bpf are pretty balanced Lubo.

With respect to the other keepers named. Forest fans aren’t thatvenamoured with pantilmon and his distribution is poor... he’d be a non starter. Krul is s good shot stopper but in the two games I’ve watched this season he’s conceded 3 bad goals. May have been perfect in the other matches for all I know. Likewise Randolph and butland.

Maybe I’m an unlucky charm for Keeper howlers but my point is, maybe these guys are better than bpf, but we’d still be bitching about them!

Cause he wanted to give him a chance after he established himself as number 1 last season, or he wasn't sure of Blackman, or he thought BPF was his best choice at the start of the season.

There could be a number of reasons, however he has already sated that had Blackman not got I out ad he would have dropped bpf for him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And Blackman could have been worse, hindsight aye
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hindsight doesn't apply to hypothetical scenarios. It applies when something has actually happened. Blackman didn't play, ergo hindsight is inapplicable in this scenario.

I do not know, nobody does, we don't even know if he was actually going to drop him. We are going round in circles & I now have no idea what we are talking about

Yorkie, don’t rate Carson at all, Krul has conceded 11 goals in 5 matches is that supposed to be tangibly better than BPF? Randolph maybe, Bentley, not sure but not sure on pant either.
