we have seen a couple of youth players really making an impact this season, if the club thinks wilks can be one of those in the future then thats great.

Hopefully he will continue his development on loan and come back a better player

Certainly hope so, but if we get up he will be sold. At 20 he may not be ideal for the PL?

1 has to wonder why he is out on Loan & the like of Clarke & Edmonson have stayed, who are younger & surely are in more need of game time.

Because you very rarely see 17 year olds going out on loan? At that age it's better to be around the club and staying with their families in a more stable environment.

All depends on the personality and respective situations of the players. The people at the club will have a better understanding of this than anyone here.
