I remember the panic among our neighbours.

Hardly anybody had a phone back then.

The guys who had left sharp missed it & had gone drinking.

No 24 hour rolling news.

They found out about the tragedy when they got home.

Their families were frantic with worry.


Some of the poor souls had hardly started secondary school.
