Kroenke isn’t the problem

I say this with some reservations but I don’t think it’s fair to blame everything Arsenal at the doors of Stan Kroenke.

The owner has spent what is required but we were unlucky with some signings and that’s due to incompetent recruiting team assembled under Wenger.

Hopefully we will see much improvements and decisiveness under the new team head of football relations Raul Sanllehi and Venkateshamn . Gazidis is gone and left some structure in place and should be commended for bringing in Unai Emery.

Looking at the big picture, Kroenke’s other projects is doing ok and his NBA team Denver Nuggets is currently leading Western Conference ahead of current champions Golden State Warriors and Lebron James LA Lakers to say the least.

Time will tell if we will succeed under the new regime but it is unfair to label or paint in one brush that Stan Kroenke has not spent when required actually to the contrary.

Looking at spending alone is only part of the story. You need to look at net spend, sales and players coming in.

We have been poor in them all. Selling Szczsney for 12.2m Euros when Liverpool bought the keeper who was second choice behind his for £67m is a prime example.

Spending £35m each on Mustafi and Xhaka, both of whom have massive question marks over how good they are, when other teams have got better for less.

We buy high and sell low. Arsenal are poor at transfers

The only club in the below list with £0 owner investment: Arsenal.

#MCFC have spent by far the most (net) on players with £906m, followed by #MUFC £528m, #CFC £393m, #LFC £351m and #AFC £236m. #THFC have only spent £98m on their squad, while Stoke will be disappointed with the return on their £190m investment (6th highest).

Gunners stats are more accurate, god knows where dj's are from.

In any case why would you include net spend when Liverpool by chance have made an obscene amount. They were lucky coutinho turned out to be barca number one target and received an exxtorniate amount after neymar sale

Kroenke is similar to the Glaziers. All he cares about is the money, this is a problem because at a club like Arsenal you no longer need to do particularly well to make money.

He could sell the club tomorrow and have made an obscene amount of cash

The club have made moves in the right overrall direction though, by appointing people to pursue a long term approach (that's what it seems anyway).

No they aren't, they are just from a different period - 10 years. And include Stoke, which shows they are out of date.
The 5 years before 2013 changes the picture massively for us because it was before the sponsorship renegotiations and the easing of the mortgage burden.

--------
Because that is what the owners allow you to spend from the clubs income beyond player trading, the point of discussion here.

So my suggestion that Kroenke is a hindrance is right then?

Liverpool's improvement coming only from selling players is a myth, right?

--------
Liverpools improvement came mainly from selling Suarez and buying Mane, Salah and Firmino, and selling Coutinho and buying VvD and Allison.

Wtf so whats that?

Let me guess 2008-2017!

Which is a complete load of bollox because Arsenal changed ownership in 2012. So how is 2008-12 relevant?
