Disappointing

Bad day at the office today, even if we were unlucky not to take the lead. But to put things into perspective, one month ago it looked like we were going to have to win this match to have a realistic chance of winning the league. One month later, we have lost the match and we sit four points clear.

The next game against Brighton is now massive for me. Win that (ideally in a convincing manner), and things will not be so bad. If we drop points there, then things will start to get a bit worrying. I said before the match that our reaction to a defeat would be much more significant than the defeat itself. The only teams we have dropped points against this season are City, Chelsea and Arsenal, so we could well go on another winning run.

Whatever happens, I'm sure there will be twists and turns until the end of the season, with City and Spurs having been impressive but also showing vulnerabilities of their own recently. It's going to be an exciting few months

Some of our passing was very sloppy today and Lovren annoyed me.

Didn't think the performance was too bad really, really unlucky with all the fine margins.. everything went against us tonight it felt.

Need to bounce back in the league with a good win at Brighton and I fancy us to do that.

Wolves first in the cup though, no idea what will happen in that as we will put out a largely second string but lets see.

We need to put a strong team out, imo. We don’t want to lose two in a row, and if we go understrength, Wolves will beat us.

It wasn’t even a particularly ‘bad day at the office’. City were just better than us on the day.

You were the favourites according to your fans + Got Better, and the media. Bad day I’d say Terms

Actually, it was mostly other fans that were saying we were favourites. Then predictably, people like yourself then say it was all Liverpool fans 👍

We don't Term. Of course two defeats on the trot would be far from ideal, but the FA cup is pretty low down in terms of our priorities this year.

We don't want to risk burning out the players. It's been a testing Christmas period and it's a good opportunity to rest a few. We can still put out a good second string
from those that didn't start tonight that will be competitive. Wolves may rest a few too.

Home team played slightly better than the away team. Sheet happens.
