Day 4 of the semi annual Celtic shambles

Day 4 now gents and we are in the glorious situation of being 2 days away from the team meeting up for the Dubai training camp and we have to applaud the board for ensuring we’re going with a freshness and a boost with a few new faces.

Wait, what? You mean to tell me we’ve not signed anyone yet? Not one player?

Wait, we’re haggling over £350,000 for this boy Bayo from the Slovakian league?

You mean a 6 month loan deal still isn’t completed 6 weeks after the boy visited Celtic park?

Of course all of the above is true, this is Celtic after all.

Meanwhile Rangers will likely have 4 deals done by end of today. 2 of which are terrific signings and probably 2 player who’d walk into this Celtic team.

Make no mistake about it, this would be our 3rd shambolic transfer window in a row and the majority of that blame lies firmly at the door of Peter Lawwell.

I don’t think anyone has said that the ref was the reason for this, only that in the case of one player in particular, he seems to have been exceptionally lenient on a number of decisions.

The media has highlighted one player. I think if you can stand to watch the match over again there is another player who has been perhaps cuter with his fouls and git away with it without scrutiny.

if you're going to look at decisions made by the referee, look at all the decisions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Morelos, debatably, got away with 3 red card decisions. He wasn’t booked for any of them, and wasn’t even spoken to over any of them. I said last night that one of them in particular was a red - ‘The incident with Christie alone is a red card under the change to rules at the start of the season as any deliberate contact to that area of the body an act of 'brutality‘.

I’ve never seen a referee’s report, but they must be very detailed to contain 3 incidents that didn’t even merit the ref talking to the player over them.

As for other players, I’ve not said there weren’t other players that deserved a booking or otherwise, but I doubt they got the leniency that Morelos apparently got.

But, with so many disputing how he let players away with poor tackles, etc then that seems to put to bed the notion that Beaton had a good game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a fair point.
So Beaton specifically mentioned three relatively innocuous incidents that required no action on his part. Not sure why he would have done that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He gave a free kick for one of them.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
which one?

Still...what about the other two. The reports are relatively short. Not sure that they get to mention very trivial incident.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Morelos kicking broons fanjita I think. Not certain as I’m not a mad para tim but at end of day, beatons looking right at all 3 incidents and sees them and does nothing. That’s why I wasn’t surprised there was no offer of retro punishment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you claim he gave a foul for it.
Now you say you're not sure.

Not worth arguing with you really. You just make things up to suit your point and then call other people liars. Enjoy the rest of your day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I clearly state he gave a foul for one of the three. Not sure why you’ve a problem with that.

As for making stuff up to suit, you’ve done it throughout this thread. Umpteen times. Still at it as recently as 5 mins ago,

Tell you what, go check the 3 incidents and if no foul if given for any , then you can say I’m making stuff up to suit.

And I’ll not mention again your making stuff up regards McLeish before he outed you. Couldn’t mark yer neck with a blowtorch ffs

No one (no one sensible anyway) has mentioned bias, just poor refereeing. And no one (see previous caveat) has said that was the reason Celtic lost. It’s easy to separate the 2.
---------------------------------------------------------

No-one is mentioning a bias but;

1. Celtic fans are claiming the ref was super lenient in rangers favour and that Morelos was lucky to avoid the jail

2. there is a very long discussion about a (frankly bizarre and completely baseless) suggestion that the majority of refs are rangers fans

But sure there is no suggestion of bias anywhere to be seen on this thread.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

spot on

I blame the schools
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes..you've mentioned the schools a number of times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

First time I’ve blamed them on this thread.

Other time I riduculed a Celtic fans opinion that cos there were less segregated schools that there were less celtic fans in Scotland.

Good point imo

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lies again. You've mentioned it several times.
I'm out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No lies here sir.

Jog on cos you’ve been outed again

Have a nice day

Why are rangers fans so reluctant to admit that a number of their fellow fans might be referees.

The truth is that rangers supporters in the refereeing community at the top level massively outnumber Celtic supporters. That seems to be despite the fact that rangers fans on here claim that there is no demographic imbalance. Strange.

I've not claimed any bias on this thread...although it was certainly there in the past. I've said on many occasions that I'd rather have Madden referee a Celtic game than Willie Collum.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Aw fook he’s away with it again

Stoap it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know why you not just admit to something that is completely clear. I know that you guys suffer from an inferiority complex these days but you definitely still have a lot of supporters....some of them ate probably referees.
It's an area that rangers fans like to stay away from. I get that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I’ve never doubted there are rangers fans refs. I’m sure there are some tho I know of none.

Nobodies arguing with that . It’s your constant statements like this

“The truth is that rangers supporters in the refereeing community at the top level massively outnumber Celtic supporters. That seems to be despite the fact that rangers fans on here claim that there is no demographic imbalance. ”

You have zero proof that there are more rangers top refs than celtic. None.

There’s also no proof that there are more rangers fans than Celtic fans in Scotland. None.

You can’t just go making stuff up and passing it off without providing something to back it up.

Ffs I’ve probifed stats et al at times backing myself up ( think it was about rangers wingers and productivity) and still get slaughtered on here.

If one extends the argument based on their shaky premis then there’s more rangers supporters everything in the country

Indeed and I think the fact your saying it probably holds more sway on here than say me or Laudrup.
