On Monday Wolves host Liverpool for their FA Cup 3rd round tie. The last time the two sides met in a cup game was at Anfield in January 2017. On that occasion Wolves won the game 2-1 with goals from Richard Stearman and Andi Weimann.
Since that time, Liverpool’s squad has seen big changes with only 8 of the 18-man squad on that day still in the current squad.
There have also been major changes to the playing staff at Wolves with only 5 of the players in the match squad on that day still in the current squad.
Unless you have been living in a cave for the last 5 months, you will be well aware of the potency of Jurgen Klopp’s table topping side. Currently only beaten once in the league, Liverpool are almost invincible this season. However, having not won the top tier championship since the 1989/90 season, and with a real chance of leading his side to the Premier league title for the first time, Jurgen Klopp has a decision to make. Should he concentrate on the league and rest his star players or go for the league and cup double?
Nuno Espirito Santo has a similar dilema. Although, he and his players, have repeatedly stated that they have no long term targets and are taking the season game by game, it would seem quite clear that there is a desire to achieve European football next season. To do so, Nuno has two chances, achieve 7th place in the league and hope that both cups are won by teams in the top 6, or go all out to win the FA cup.
As the cup competition is such a lottery which every season throws up surprise results, It’s a fair assumption that both managers will make their respective finishing positions in the league a priority. For this reason, expect to see both managers make numerous changes to their sides for this game as is common in cup competitions in the modern era.
The game will be shown live on BBC 1
Gem’s prediction: 2-2

Caught the end of that chargers ravens game Cinci, first NFL I've really watched this season. No idea who's in the frame for the big prize this time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chargers seemed desperate to throw it away.
It is wide open to be honest, the few that looked great during the regular season have started to stumble a little and none are a sure fire thing. Bad feeling the Pats might make it again with what is probably the poorest team they have had in a fair few years

My money is on Kansas this season with New Orleans maybe their biggest threat

Wolves U23s have a game at Albion tonight. Not sure what team they will put out as some of their usuals may be in the first team squad. They are currently 2nd in the table one point behind Man Utd and this is a game in hand

Great win for Newport yesterday but they did screw up over the official team sheet they issued to the press before the game. Christian Fuchs was in the Leicester squad but they spelt his surname with a k not an h

Situation with Tammy Abraham is that Chelsea have a right to recall him from his loan at Villa up to Jan 14. So a decision has to be taken this week on his immediate future. Sounds like Villa are resigned to losing him. But will Chelsea then keep him, sell him or loan him. Wolves in the driving seat if they do let him go

Yes, I saw that yesterday as Gary Lineker tweeted it. I'm sure they'll blame auto-correct.

Sorry Cincini, you come out with the insults, you get filtered.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was that an insult? Genuine question, I need to know where the line is or I'll find myself unable to post on 90% of the Spurs board again before long
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Sandy needs to learn the actual definition of the word "insult"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Er no I don`t. Decent behaviour on an Internet Forum should be the norm. Nothing wrong with a bit of banter, but no need for any kind of personal insults. Any kind of personal insult, however small should not be condoned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He said you were "talking cr@p"... Which is hardly personal, is it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it may not be to you, but it is to me. If you like people insulting or being rude to you then fine. But I have higher standards.
It`s like me coming around to your house, your wife cooks me a meal, and I turn round and say that was crap. Would you like that, I doubt it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, Sandy... Being told you're talking cr@p is NOT a personal insult
I talk sheet all the time, sometimes we all need to be told when we are
And how is being told to stop talking cr@p on a forum the same as your guest saying the meal she cooked was cr@p?! Christ Sandy... Get a grip.
Man up...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry mate, you may like being insulted, I don`t. Don`t tell me what and what I should not like please.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you ok?

Paul Tierney is the ref tonight. It will be the 4th time he has overseen a Liverpool game this season and they have won every one. He has overseen 5 Wolves games at Molineux and Wolves haven’t won any of them
