Dundee

I've only been drinking in Dundee once. Can't remember the name of the pub I was in but was definitely filled with Dundee rather than United fans. I rather enjoyed getting steaming in it.

I remember scoffing at the 'Glasgow's Miles Better' thing 30+ years ago.

To regenerate a post industrial city through leisure & the arts?

Said 'what has this to do with unemployed folk in the Barios?'

Couldn't have been more wrong.

It actually brought about a lot of individual & civic pride.

And tens of thousands of jobs for folk in these areas.

Been going to Perth for years now and spent money there.

Will now do the same in Dundee.

Shared a table in the Trade House yesterday with an older couple.

Chatted to 2 young folk in the old Perth Theatre cafe this morning.

They were embarrassingly thankful when I praised their communities.

I saw and felt that in Glasgow many times myself 30 years ago.

If Dundee was so great, how come Ivan was so desperate to leave? Makes you wonder

Just saw this.

Not the reason I went to Dundee but it chimes with my experience.

Lonely Planet Guide 2018 said it was the top 'Must Visit City' in Europe.

Ivan Dundee is brilliant for a night out I work with a lot of Girls from Douglas they are magic and kept my ego massaged and in check when out and about.

We could staff a wing with the MH fellas we've had on here since 2011.

It takes a unique mind and skill set and I salute them all.
