I think we'll sign a keeper, although I hope we sign a centre back for cover, a defender to cover left back as Douglas is out again, a winger, a midfielder to cover Klich and Forshaw plus a playmaker.

cant see much happening until near the end of the window

then we might get a couple if they havent already gone somewhere else

clearly aint much cash to spend at all

If realistic cash (£0-£10m) was available, who is available in that bracket that's better than what we have already? Jan window is not a good time for available good players.

Could we not look north of the border? I has already been proven a CONFERENCE team can offer more wages than most SP clubs. We should be joining that party

I get the feeling Bielsa doesn't want someone to come in half way through the season who hasn't been though the rigorous fitness training and isn't up to speed with the style of play.

Surely if he wanted someone, the board would have brought someone in?

He'll keep using youth IMO. Nowt to do with money

If that is the case then that is ridiculous.

Sign players that are "match fit", then they train to Bielsa's methods and within 3-4 weeks are ready to contribute.

Even if hat means having them for the final 10-12 games of the season it is better than not having the option at all.

IF we don't sign a GK and a Winger/AM I will be very annoyed with the club and MB.

There is no room for stubbornness, we have already failed in January when in prime position.

If we/the club fudge this up we may never ever get a coach of this calibre again.

Kinnear discussed the window at length in his programme notes ahead of the Blackburn clash on Boxing Day.

"I don't believe there is any club in January that will be able to call on either new or returning talent which comes anywhere close to this ensemble of players," he wrote.

"Nonetheless, we will use the January market to evaluate any opportunities - but our criteria on adding to the squad will be exacting.

"Any new face will need to add significant and immediate capability to the first team, fit within our responsible wage structure, and not destabilise the squad that has served us so well.

"Identifying and securing this type of player will be challenging and we are conscious that the majority of January purchases fail to deliver against expectations. However, our scouting and analytics capability give us a better chance to beat the odds."
